IS FELIX MACACAWITZ DISHONEST? UM... HE'S A REPUBLICAN. YOU WANT TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION YOURSELF?

>

There's another side to the Republican Culture of Corruption that has permeated DC since lowlife crud like DeLay, Santorum, Frist, Hastert and that lot have been reigning on Capitol Hill. They don't all chase teenage boys all day. Some of them are involved in more traditional Republican pursuits: graft and bribes.

"For the past five years, Sen. George Allen has failed to tell Congress about stock options he got for his work as a director of a high-tech company. The Virginia Republican also asked the Army to help another business that gave him similar options." That means he's been breaking Senate ethics rules.

Now Allen, affectionately known as Felix Macacawitz, could plead stupidity-- and he tied with Rick Santorum this year for the second stupidest senator in the Washingtonian poll-- but not even Macacawitz is that stupid. The stock options were "deferred" compensation that would give the highly corrupt senator from Virginia a great deal of money for valuable favors he was doing for the company in his official capacity. In other words, he was taking a bribe.

Macacawitz claims he didn't disclose the stock options because he viewed them as worthless. But they're not worthless; not by a long shot. They're worth over a million dollars, real money even for a Republican senator. George Felix Allen, on the other hand, is worthless, at least to the citizens of Virginia.

So Mr. Macacawitz pleads stupidity to explain his racial slurs and unethical practices. Republican or not, have you seen any legislator who isn't stupid? These representatives of the people know which side of their bread is buttered. Only that they want to have the cake and eat it too.
