EARLY RETURNS SHOW A COMPLETE REJECTION OF BUSH AND HIS RUBBER STAMP LIEBERMAN

>

WTNH has the best up-to-the-minute results I've seen so far. At 3% of precincts counted Ned had 60% of the vote and somehow Lieberhound managed to trick 40% of the voters into casting their ballots for him. They must be Republicans who switched parties. And then at 7% the percentages for Ned and Lieberhound came back down to earth: Ned's at 56% and the Lieberhound is at 44%

Ned Lamont- 12,236

Lieberhound- 9,535

UPDATE: JANE SEZ

"It's a blowout." I called her in CT to find out which precincts were the early reporters. She didn't know but she told me every indicator the Lamont team is looking for is on-- including things like 80% turn-out in some of their target precincts. They had a tremendous GOTV operation. The Lieberhound lost his home precinct.

UPDATE: JANE WAS RIGHT

After Jane re-assured me it wouldn't be close, I went for dinner and when I got home I saw Ned had won by 4%. It's an amazing story of enlightened voters holding their elected representative to account for himself. Lieberman has had 18 years to show what he is-- and he has and tonight Connecticut Democrats found him severly wanting. I bet Al Wynn (D-MD) is shaking in his boots tonight. If he's not, he should be.

Happy, happy joy, joy...but I bet not in DC tonight at the DLC eh?

Too fucking bad.

Wake up.

The war is wrong, flushing jobs down the drain with these horrible "free trade" policies is wrong, not blocking these horrible judges is wrong, not raising the minimum wage is wrong, not supporting Social Security and fighting privatization is wrong, voting for Medicare D was wrong, not having single payer national healthcare is wrong, not supporting the environment is wrong and supporting George Bush in any way is absolutely, no doubt about it completely fucking wrong.

Got it?

While there may be no joy in Mudville tonight, we must remember it is Mud-ville afterall.

The net root and the grass roots=the people. Sounds about right to me.
