Channel 4 is now reporting the whole scandal around the latest revelation of Bush war crimes: his bombing of Al-Jazeera offices in Baghdad and Kabul, his desire to bomb the headquarters in Doha, Qatar, and the ensuing cover-up. Today's BradBlog has a well-done video of the report. The report is not a CNN/Fox style soundbyte piece made for people with 2-digit IQs. It's the kind of news story U.S. television news used to routinely do all the time. If you watch this short, pointed piece you will walk away with a good understanding of what this-- and George Bush's corrupt, illegitimate regime-- are all about.

Not every Briton is taking Blair's outrageous attempt at 17th century censorship lying down. (I guess it's particularly galling to Britons that Blair is going to these absurd lengths to protect the almost non-existent credibility of the same Bush who nearly caused him and his party to get kicked out of government.) One Member of Parliament, Boris Johnson, says he'll publish the forbidden document even if it means going to the Tower of London. I heartily recommend you read Boris' whole statement but this is how he ends: "we now have allegations of such severity, against the US President and his motives, that we need to clear them up. If someone passes me the document within the next few days I will be very happy to publish it in The Spectator, and risk a jail sentence. The public need to judge for themselves. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. If we suppress the truth, we forget what we are fighting for, and in an important respect we become as sick and as bad as our enemies."

By the way, Boris is a Conservative.

Do you find it strange that U.S. corporate media is supressing this story?

It makes you wonder if other journalists' deaths, such as that Italian reporter killed in Iraq by American bullets, were really inadvertent or planned. Nothing would surprise me any more. (Call me paranoid but I still think Paul Wellstone's plane crash was a assasination plot - didn't his death tip the Senate Republican, or am I mistaken?)

Well done!
Our chicken shit media can only handle one or two or three, maybe four or five, scandalous stories from this administration at a time. This will be pure overload.
I'm convinced the mainstream media has insiders who they feed info to so they can prepare for the story. kkarl rove is busy tonight trying to find an army corporal who will swear that this is fabricated.
If it's 'open democracy' that bush is dropping bombs for...then what the hell is this all about?
It's about a psycho, Freudian personality who sits in our Whitehouse.
And don't forget kids, there are some 19 pages from the governments report on 9/11 that were never printed and left as top secret. Of course, those who have read those pages have hinted that Saudi Arabia is all over them. If we can get at those 19 pages I'm sure the PEOPLE will demand to end the Saudi regime.
But, that's the war we SHOULD be having and since we're at war in the wrong place now, we may as well take this scandal and drive it into the collective conscience
of the people instead. And if it's true, as I have no doubt it is considering it's bush we're taling about, let's hope that something like this will help open the 19 pages and begin the dialogue that Michael Moore started but failed to complete because of the WICKED media.
And btw DTW readers, you're entirely too quiet out there. What's up?
