Midnight Meme Of The Day!

The asteroid hasn't hit quite yet but it has made its presence known. A few dinosaurs have noticed a scent in the air but most disregard it.

It's time for the gravity to speed up the impact. That cannot come too soon. When Greta Thunberg's dynamic speech at the United Nations hit last week, it shook the slow-witted, slow-moving dinosaurs of the world even more than when the Parkland kids spoke up and said "Enough!" The right's reaction was predictable. The snickering "No little child is going to get in the way of our Earth-killing profiteering" statements came swiftly. FOX's sieg heiling Laura Ingraham called Greta and all of the youth climate activists Children Of The Corn but maybe that's what they should be in the case of people like Ingraham. Stay home at night, Laura. No one wants to see you, on your broom or not, anyway.

Perhaps most illustrative of Republican reaction was another FOX "News" luminary who wasted no time in calling Greta Thunberg "a mentally ill child who is being exploited by her parents and by the international left." Trump, of course joined in by mocking Greta from the safety of his bathroom twitter machine. FOX later gave a typically insincere "apology." Trump did not, of course, but Greta, whose obvious brainpower runs circles around the dead orange husk that resides upon Trump's shoulders, deftly turned his "best words" against him in her twitter bio. Easy as pie.

Stay tuned. The righties of the universe are panic-stricken because "a child" called them out and had the smarts and care to do it on an international stage. The "15 minutes of fame" putdowns will be fast and furious. Expect Trump to demand Greta's visa be rescinded, Lindsey Graham to get his knickers in a twist, Sean Hannity to come up with a wacko Greta Thunberg conspiracy that will make his Seth Rich idiocy pale by comparison, and Judge Roy Moore to be asking for her cell phone number.

Midnight Meme Of The Day!

Like her or not, Greta Thunberg is one incredible young lady. At 15, Ivanka Trump was no doubt scheming to get daddy to fund her dream of an expensive line of shoes and handbags made by Chinese slaves. Greta, of course had a commitment to try to save the world so even bubble-headed soulless idiots like Ivanka could wear her dream shoes and be able to afford a lifetime of cosmetic surgery.
Nothing really was happening in my life. I have always been that girl in the back who doesn't say anything. I thought I couldn't make a difference because I was too small."
When Greta started on her mission in 2018. No one joined her. Her parents and school foolishly tried to discourage her. She showed up at the Swedish parliament every day with her signs. She believed in something and made waves. That frightens people. She's a "When they said sit down, I stood up" kind of girl. She passed all of her courses while on her strike. Within a year, her schoolmates and others had joined her. Now, she has inspired, truly inspired, young people and others around the world, in big cities on the continents and small islands in the oceans. Millions worldwide have joined in the protests for climate action that she has inspired. Clearly, Greta Thunberg inspires people in ways that politicians resent and can never duplicate because she has the intellect, clarity and honesty that is alien to them.

By January, Greta was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It's safe to say that no politician or CEO can match Greta Thunberg for the eloquence she expressed as seen in the clip below. They lack the conscience and intelligence, and what they do have in those areas is no match for their greed and shortsightedness. This week, she spoke at the United Nations. The UN delegates yawned. What the hell do they care? There were very few commitments coming from the likes of them. They will be dead soon, leaving the world to a younger generation they obviously don't care about. Trump, the president who hates anything that lives, all but ignored the meeting, literally just doing a walk past it and giving one of his patented gibberish and highly hypocritical talks about religious freedom instead.

Greta Thunberg's elders often express hope to her as if to pat her on the head. It's the equivalent of the cynical and meaningless "thoughts and prayers" mantra. As Greta often says, she doesn't want their hope, she wants their panic and that they should act like their house is on fire because it is on fire.
