GOODBYE FROM THE WORLD'S BIGGEST POLLUTER

>

Two of the world's most controversial and least legitimate leaders

When I first saw that as the subject line in an e-mail I thought it was an ironic snarky comment from one of my pals at Firedoglake. It wasn't; it was a direct quote from the imbecile we let masquerade as a legitimate president of the United States of America for the last seven years.
The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.

And not shocked about his piercing wit and legendary charm. Someone told the Telegraph that "Everyone was very surprised that he was making a joke about America's record on pollution." He didn't mention that people were wondering if he was back on drugs again. Bush's press book, handed out to everyone at the Summit included a perfectly true and apt-- if less than diplomatic-- description of close Bush ally and fellow neo-fascist Sivio Berlusconi, describing him as one of the "most controversial leaders in the history of a country known for government corruption and vice."

Not everyone thinks Bush is the worst infection America has ever suffered. Some extreme right-wing radicals in the U.S. applauded Bush's boorish behavior and-- worse-- the sick ideology behind it. How many inaccuracies can you find in this classic bit of right-wing dementia:
Not only has US President George W. Bush saved Iraq and the Middle East from total annihilation with his successful 2007 troop surge, not only has US President George W. Bush saved hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Afghans from two of the most brutal regimes in history, not only has US President George W. Bush brought democracy and freedom to the Middle East and southern Asia, not only has US President George W. Bush protected the American homeland after the worst attack in US history, but now US President George W. Bush just saved the US economy from the global warming religionists.
