Is Trump Having American Citizens Murdered Now?

>

At one of his super-spreader events in Greenville North Carolina on Thursday, a flailing Trump boasted to his people about how federal agents murdered an anti-fascist activist. The implication was that having agents kill a suspect without trial was an example of his own "leadership." He said, probably not even cognizant that there was anything wrong, "We sent in the U.S. Marshals. Took 15 minutes, it was over. We got him." Trump's boast was disgusting-- and a lie. The suspect, Michael Reinoehl, was killed by local officers, not by anyone Trump sent-- apparently in cold blood and without trying to arrest him.

Yesterday, Los Angeles Congressman Ted Lieu, a former prosecutor, urged Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz to open an investigation into whether U.S. Marshals task force officers had legitimate grounds to kill Michael Reinoehl. He suggested Horowitz explore these 5 questions:
Were the U.S. Marshals given any type of order or suggestion that they kill Mr. Reinoehl without trying to arrest him first?
Did the President give any orders or suggestions to the U.S. Marshals related to the killing of Mr. Reinoehl? If so, what was that order or suggestion?
Did the Attorney General give any orders or suggestions to the U.S. Marshals related to the killing of Mr. Reinoehl? If so, what was that order or suggestion?
Did the U.S. Marshals have legitimate grounds to use deadly force?
What attempts, if any, were made to first arrest or subdue Mr. Reinoehl?
He reminded Horowitz that "Extrajudicial killings in the U.S. are illegal... Under our Constitution, the federal government cannot deprive a person of his or her life without due process of law, regardless of what crimes they are suspected of committing. The members of the U.S. Marshals’ task force were legally authorized to use deadly force only if they or another person faced an imminent threat from Mr. Reinoehl. Based on both the reporting from the NY Times and the words of Donald Trump, that does not appear to be the case."

It was orchestrated out of Tacoma involving another county, Thurston. I haven't seen any reports from Thurston county, either sheriff or coroner. It wouldn't surprise me if they took the body somewhere else

Of course Trump is having American citizens murdered by his DHS Gestapo! That way, the courts can be kept clear to defend corporations against an outraged citizenry.

This is exactly why it is so important for everybody to rally to vote Trump out. He is openly fascist and calling for the extra-judicial murder of anybody who protests or resists his policies. If he were granted another term, he would open up concentration camps and prisons to warehouse his political enemies under the authority of the DHS and Border Patrol, which have been thoroughly turned into fascist militia.

Purist policies and worrying about what Biden will do (nothing without massive organization) simply don't enter into the equation, any more than the German people could afford to indulge in fantasies and delicate feelings about voting for Hindenburg to resist Hitler.

It's clearly 1932 in America. As in Germany, either the left and moderate democratic forces unite against fascism or we get an open dictatorship.

42% of the American people WANT Trump as dictator for life! They cheer at his rallies when he talks of holding 4 consecutive terms or turning over the Presidency to his daughter Ivanka as his chosen successor, as soon as he should grow too old and tired to continue in office anymore, thus making his entire corrupt family into an open Kleptocracy like failed third world states.

IF Biden does not win by a huge and overwhelming margin, Trump's sycophantic Reich-wingers on the Federal courts will steal it for him -- just like Bush v. Gore only worse.

cugel, did it ever occur to you that obamanation and democraps refusing to fix (legislate or constitutional amendment) the coup of 2000 is exactly why trump (via Russia and massive money laundering through the NRA) failed to lose and why your fear about the court stealing it again is probable?

They had the white house for 8, the house and senate for 2 (including a filibuster-proof number for 1.5) and did not utter a peep about any of the election thefts employed by the Nazis.

Now why do you suppose they refused to even bring up the subject?

he's had a dozen or more brown kiddies murdered at the border and nobody did anything about it.

why would he stop there? After all, we all know that nobody will do anything at all about it.

and if he can do it and nobody will do anything at all about it... why would he not boast about it?

so go ahead and vote for those who refuse to do anything about it. it'll be obamanation all over again. and that is why we got trump.

doing it again will get us worse than trump very soon.

but deductive reasoning is a lot to ask of a very large greenhouse of plant life.

This is not true any longer. There was a memo issued by the Office of Legal Counsel ruling that the President can order the death of anyone, U.S. citizen or not, anywhere, including in the Continental United States and its territories and possessions, without trial or judicial review. It was used to kill Anwar al Kawlaki in Yemen on September 30, 2011, and then, a week later, his 16-year-old son. We don't know if Trump used that precedent or not, but if he did it was because Obama was allowed to get away with it. He might have to tell a couple of lies, like saying he had classified information the guy was associated with a terrorist organization, but I don't think that would worry him. Frankly, I've kind of wondered why he hadn't used that yet.
