Can You Imagine A More Perfect Series Of Role-Players Than Biden/Buttigieg/Harris/Booker/Warren/Patrick/Bloomberg?

Last two standing?

Can you imagine a more perfect role-player...

than Biden to suck up early attention, from media and donors, needed by semi-fresh mid-career vanilla centrist candidates?
than Buttigieg to look good compared with Biden’s ever-slower brain and looser mouth?
than Harris to highlight the weaknesses of un-vetted identity-centered candidates (campaign epitaph: “lost beyond the script”)?
than Booker to highlight that on-stage energy can’t cover up cowardice (visible in Booker’s apologetic/frightened face and body language each time he gently criticised Biden)?
than Warren to talk up Bernie’s platform to the Managerial-Professional Class (who would refuse to hear Bernie due to their grudge against him for the failures of Hillary and her backers in 2016 -- and 2008, 2009, 2003, 2000, etc.)
than Patrick to destroy Warren’s electability (as Ex-Governor poaching Warren's Massachusetts home-state and New Hampshire-overlapping media market)?
than Bloomberg to poach votes from Biden and Buttigieg by spending a fraction of his 50+ billion dollars to promote himself as “self-made 3-term Mayor who led NYC-Tri-State Metro Area’s bounce-back from 9/11” in contrast with:
· “Baby-faced baby Ivy Leaguer overwhelmed by racial politics of college town’s tiny electorate,” and
· “Lifelong Senate grinner/gripper whose biggest ever leadership role was point-man for policy towards corrupt Ukraine, which, like China, over-paid his too-big-to-jail son.”
than impeachment hearings highlighting:
· the Ukraine corruption of both Trump and Biden, and
· the Military Industrial Intelligence Complex’s unapologetic defence of its right to decide foreign policy?
than Bloomberg, as the likely last-standing major non-Bernie in Democratic primaries, to:
· nullify arguments that Bernie is too "old, "male," "White," "Jewish," "Northeastern," or "insensitive to identities" and
· personify billionaires’ excessive influence over politics and media?

An Alternative Version: How Could This Star’s Series Of Role-Players Be Any More Perfect??

For Bernie Sanders to be appreciated by the U.S.A. electorate, which was raised on scripted narratives, and to lead his team to victory, how could any role-player be more perfect...

than Biden to suck up early attention, from media and donors, needed by semi-fresh mid-career vanilla centrist candidates?
than Buttigieg to look good compared with Biden’s ever-slower brain and looser mouth?
than Harris to highlight the weaknesses ("beyond the initial script") of un-vetted identity-centered candidates?
than Booker to highlight that on-stage energy can’t cover up cowardice (visible again in Booker’s nervous face and body language each time he criticised Biden)?
than Warren (and Steyer) to talk up Bernie’s platform to a Managerial-Professional Class (who would refuse to hear the same from Bernie)
than Patrick to block Warren’s primary path (as Ex-Governor poaching voters in her Massachusetts home-state and New Hampshire-overlapping media market)?
than Bloomberg to split "moderate" voters from Biden and Buttigieg by spending a fraction of his 50+ billion dollars to promote himself as "self-made 3-term Mayor who led NYC-Tri-State Metro Area’s bounce-back from 9/11" in contrast with:
"Baby-faced baby Ivy Leaguer overwhelmed by racial politics of college town’s tiny electorate," and
"Lifelong Senate grinner/gripper whose biggest ever leadership role was point-man for policy towards corrupt Ukraine, which, like China, over-paid his too-big-to-jail son."
than impeachment hearings highlighting:
the Ukraine corruption of both Trump and (as Obama’s Vice President) Biden, and
the 'coming out' of Military Industrial Intelligence Complex’s view of its rightful power to decide foreign policy?
Bloomberg, as the likely last major non-Bernie in Democratic primaries, to:
nullify arguments that Bernie is too "old," "male,""White," "Jewish," "Northeastern," or "insensitive to identities,"
personify billionaires’ excessive influence of politics and media, and
if losing primaries, then have harder path to an independent candidacy in the general election.
Bernie-supporters, further energized as they realize that all of the following have become more and more true:
not only is Bernie2020 the "last best chance" to avoid or mitigate economic, political and climate Armageddon, but
also Bernie2020 has a "real chance"
and all eligible voters, volunteers and small-donors, who realize that their lives depend on it, can have an impact as role-players on a winning team.

The slate of corporatist Democrats and all Republicans are the sort of subservient lackeys that corporate titans demand. Once corporations followed the Powell Memo to its logical conclusion, they needed "good little nazis" to follow orders and commit heinous crimes against humanity. The corporatist Democrats and all Republicans compete to be the capos of Konzentration Lager Earth so that they won't be treated as mere mortal humans are.

Smoking some good shit there?

Yes, that list of potential corporate heirs to $hillbillary's rightful place atop the party as their nom for president ARE perfect.

They will guarantee that Bernie and Elizabeth will not individually NOR collectively (should one of them drop out and bequeath his/her delegates to the other) acquire 51% of pledged delegates for a quick first-ballot nomination.

All the DNC needs is for the convention to go to second and further ballots to unleash the money's "fix", the superdelegates, to broker whichever one the money really wants and SHALL foist upon the voters. And, no, it really does not need to be one from that list. It still could be $hillbillary. The bottom of the biggest sewer is the limit for a brokered convention. Believe me, the money would MUUUUUCH prefer to lose again to trump than allow either Bernie or Elizabeth to become president.

it's as simple as that.

@7:11

For a pleasant change of pace, you're not completely wrong here, except for misjudging the level of hatred much of the country has for Trump and how that will benefit even the WORST Dem who ends up running against him (mostly because YOUR hatred of the Democratic Party tends to destroy any possibility for you to engage in objective analysis*). I do find it a little sad that a guy your age can't actually type out "Hillary" or "Obama" without the silly modifications.

*I'm strictly talking in terms of numbers/probabilities here - this has NOTHING to do with ideological preferences. And yes, a worthless, morally compromised, corporatist Democrat who becomes President under such circumstances also has a good chance of getting tossed out on his/her ass in 2024. Though lastly, I'd like to add that if Obama hadn't been such a do-nothing sack of shit - if the Dems had raised the minimum wage during BO's first two years in office, if there'd been a public option in the shitty (formerly)Republican healthcare act, if Obama had at least prosecuted banksters for launching a wave of foreclosures with forged documents and had bailed out some mortgage holders - HRC would be Prez right now - she ran on Obama's "coattails" but didn't understand that he had none. Obama's legacy is that you can be personable, charismatic, run an effective campaign and then get elected/re-elected without actually doing very much of value for the average voter (sound familiar? it's pretty much the story of the Republican party in presidential contests for the last 40 years). In fact, if the Dem candidate in 2016 had been a MAN with more skill at retail politics than HRC (and less baggage - some genuine and legitimate, some the product of right-wing disinformation mills), that guy would be president now. And another thing: Trump's electoral college margin is LESS than 100,000 votes across three crucial states. While I understand that it's crucial to your way of thinking to treat the 2016 election as some gigantic sea-change event in which racist populism somehow destroyed the corporatist do-nothing party at the polls, ignoring anything that doesn't line up with that narrative tends to make you look/sound like a bit of a crank. Nuanced thinking/writing is NOT your strong suit.

8:08 you posted content!! Keep it up. Though Obama could do nothing and get away with it, because the checks were rolling in as long as he played by the DNC playbook. Though he did get the ball rolling on medicare 4 all with his safety dance O-care give away to insurance donors. But once a population has a taste a blood it wants meat. Bernie offered meat and $Hillary and the DNC knew how dangerous political protein is to their credit line once consumed by the masses. So they went all out to stop Bernie ( knowing he would win). Trump sold fake populism and the DNC safety dance allowed the choice of more or less evil to prevail but heaven forbid something to sustain political energy. $Trump and $Hillary famalies attend the same functions, go to the same golf courses and GW Bush once said that former President $Bill Clinton was hanging out with his Dad so much that he considered him one of the family. Now Bernie’s back and the DNC wants a replay and Trump is not a threat to them, as they get mire checks when he’s blathering insanity. $Trump is a threat to the populace and their democratic ways that threaten both the DNC and their more evil twin the Repubs. So who wins between the DNC and RNC regardless of states, # of votes, or electoral break glass in case of emergency college will not feed meat to a muscle building AA to a protein deficient political population and thefascist golf course will still be for members only.

8:08, I agree with pretty much your whole offering.

I have no clue if the trump stink will be greater than the anti-blue stink yet. We haven't seen how obvious the convention rigging will be. We haven't seen which neoliberal corporofascist the DNC and the superdelegates will defecate. And we haven't seen yet whether the democraps quit on the impeachment or they take it to the senate and get spanked there.

It's too early.

All I'm saying is that we're about where we were last time: trump was a sure loser in their primaries back then. Nobody then could bring themselves to admit that the Nazis would all support ... him! And nobody could bring themselves to admit that an overtly corrupt neoliberal fascist, even one with name recognition, could be such a drain on the left electorate.

Nobody could imagine ANY democrap losing to that "grab 'em by the pussy" guy!

It happened once. The democraps are worse and are going to, mark my words, find someone worse. And the Nazi worship of trump has only gotten more devout.

If it happened then, You must at least admit that it could happen again.

Yes, it is entirely possible that Trump will win the electoral college again after losing the popular vote by 3-6 million. I am NOT one of those delusional lefties who thinks his loss in 2020 is a foregone conclusion.

Given CA and NY, trump could lose the popular by 10 million and still win via electors. I suspect that the amplitude of the anti-blue wave, depending on the DNC's nom, will weigh heavily on both factors -- depressing the former and amplifying the latter.
