Midnight Meme Of The Day!

>

by Noah

Like her or not, Greta Thunberg is one incredible young lady. At 15, Ivanka Trump was no doubt scheming to get daddy to fund her dream of an expensive line of shoes and handbags made by Chinese slaves. Greta, of course had a commitment to try to save the world so even bubble-headed soulless idiots like Ivanka could wear her dream shoes and be able to afford a lifetime of cosmetic surgery.
Nothing really was happening in my life. I have always been that girl in the back who doesn't say anything. I thought I couldn't make a difference because I was too small."
When Greta started on her mission in 2018. No one joined her. Her parents and school foolishly tried to discourage her. She showed up at the Swedish parliament every day with her signs. She believed in something and made waves. That frightens people. She's a "When they said sit down, I stood up" kind of girl. She passed all of her courses while on her strike. Within a year, her schoolmates and others had joined her. Now, she has inspired, truly inspired, young people and others around the world, in big cities on the continents and small islands in the oceans. Millions worldwide have joined in the protests for climate action that she has inspired. Clearly, Greta Thunberg inspires people in ways that politicians resent and can never duplicate because she has the intellect, clarity and honesty that is alien to them.

By January, Greta was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It's safe to say that no politician or CEO can match Greta Thunberg for the eloquence she expressed as seen in the clip below. They lack the conscience and intelligence, and what they do have in those areas is no match for their greed and shortsightedness. This week, she spoke at the United Nations. The UN delegates yawned. What the hell do they care? There were very few commitments coming from the likes of them. They will be dead soon, leaving the world to a younger generation they obviously don't care about. Trump, the president who hates anything that lives, all but ignored the meeting, literally just doing a walk past it and giving one of his patented gibberish and highly hypocritical talks about religious freedom instead.

Greta Thunberg's elders often express hope to her as if to pat her on the head. It's the equivalent of the cynical and meaningless "thoughts and prayers" mantra. As Greta often says, she doesn't want their hope, she wants their panic and that they should act like their house is on fire because it is on fire.

Scolding the corporatists at the UN was classic and one of the best speeches I've ever heard anyone give.

Thank you, Greta!

The UN General Assembly is nice, but the Billionaire Boys' Club at Davos is where the course is plotted.

Greta can't take that one on by herself, 3:36. She will be like the emblematic topless woman shown rallying the people as one of the most common images of the French Revolution.

And she is leading a Revolution. We the People just need to really hear what she is saying while there is time to save some of the environment we need to survive.

That's a VERY low bar, Anthony. An ant can step over that one.

she's also smarter than any of our democraps. only takes a large ant to walk over that one.

Sadly, as compelling and passionate as Ms. Greta is, she's still dead wrong.

With every new observation, it becomes more obvious that it's already too late to dampen much less reverse the resonant processes.

Mankind is down to only palliative actions. There are no remedies. As long as nobody ever mentions that there are already 6 billion too many humans, nothing even palliative can ever be accomplished.

While the well-meaning, like Ms. Greta, are wasting their time trying to convince the worlds' capitalists to unilaterally disarm, the rest of humanity are busily creating billions more mouths to feed and asses to wipe (the never-ending capitalism Ponzi scheme, btw:), not to mention lungs to fill, yearning to be warm or cool and with just enough liberty to continue the whole lethal process.

I watched Bill Maher's "Real Time" last night. Now, I often differ with Maher, a vehement lesser-evilest, and I sometimes differ with his liberal/progressive guests... but last night was truly appalling.

Barney Frank, a true democrap spectre, and the token fascist conservative both agreed that capitalism is not the problem. the Nazi argued that capitalism is actually the solution. Both argued about matters of style and form only.

I'm not exactly surprised that even our "better" people still kneel at the altar of capitalism. religion is like that -- fervent belief in spite of all proof against. I guess what I saw kind of means that Greta won't ever be able to accomplish anything.

Proof that Ms. Greta is FAAAAAAAR smarter than anyone in this shithole:
"People are suffering; people are dying; entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth."

yep. only Greta "gets" it. it's worse than a fairytale. it's a Ponzi scheme. but until human beings understand that a finite system of resources cannot be exploited to infinity, nothing can be fixed... ever.

I only wish Greta could run for president on the Green ticket here. She'd obliterate biden or Bernie or Elizabeth in debates. She'd make trump look like a retarded nutria, which he kind of is. The green vote would break 5 million for the first time.

She'd lose, of course. Americans ARE trump and biden. dumber than shit and gullible enough to eat shit and be told it's delicious.

Democracy means governance not by the smartest or best. it means governance by the lowest common denominator. In America, it keeps getting ever lower.
