Midnight Meme Of The Day!

Wednesday's appearance in the $enate by Trump's personal attorney, William H. Barr, euphemistically known as the Attorney General, was nothing less than Barr making it obvious that he is running for Vice President with Trump on the 2020 ticket. Make that Vice Dictator, since that's what Trump sent him to the $enate to be when Barr went on national television and used his installment oath to defend the Constitution as his personal toilet paper. He lied. He stonewalled. He smirked. The whole scene was made even more farcical by the deliberately over-sized name placard that the hearing's ringmaster, Lindsey Graham, had placed in front of Barr. The placard read "Hon. William P. Barr." There it was: "Honorable." Absurdity in black and white, with letters that dwarfed the size of the letters of all of the other participant's names by about six times. The black and white contrast made it really pop as well. Great marketing ploy, Lindsey.

Trump's dictatorial intentions for this country have been clear to anyone who makes the choice not to live in a state of denial for three years now, but those who have chosen the cold comfort of wakefulness are few in number. The whole Graham and Barr performance was an exercise in "We don't need your stinking Constitution." They have taken Washington's contempt for America down to the lowest pit yet. And what does America do? It sleeps.

It was Ben Franklin who when asked at the end of the Constitutional Convention if we had a monarchy or a republic, said, "A republic, if you can keep it."

How about some protest marches being organized by Move On? It is time for the public to get moving. We are seeing the meteoric rise of a fascist dictator right in front of our eyes. Too bad so much of the population is ignorant of history. How many people actually read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich?

The Dems need to go back to their constituents and make the case clear that our Constitution is being destroyed. I saw a new Congresswoman being interviewed on MSNBC and when asked about this, she brushed it aside and carried on about health care. Yeah that's important but if we don't have a democracy stay around first what's the point about discussing health care? The primary fight here is for our democracy and that should be presented together with any health care discussions. This needs to be emphasized!!! Oh, and social security will go by the wayside, too, and that should also be made crystal clear.

I saw a recent clip of Joe Biden speaking - he stinks at public speaking. I suspect Trump will run rings around him in any debate. He is not our only hope - unfortunately he will be a big loser. Trump is already using the Ukraine government to attack his son. Oy vey.

Hone, nobody is going to march.

This is only the latest pile of shit that we the people elected. We've had piles of shit since 1980, all that we elected... or sort-of elected. And we've had all of them lie freely, start wars for profit, torture, make the rich obscenely richer many times over, ratfuck everyone below the .1%, force 30 million more hapless dupes support millionaires and health corporations, avoid all progressive change, ignore laws and the constitution, condone trillions in fraud, promote hate, promote religion over truth, deny truth, lie, lie and lie more. We had elections fraudulently decided, voters disenfranchised for being left and our courts tell us that counting votes is not necessary.

nobody marched. nobody was prosecuted. nothing.

what we DID do was elect ever worse pieces of shit and democraps who were supposed to wipe up the shit... and they never do... so we elect more of them.

yep. the democraps SHOULD do... but they never do. So you keep electing them and expect them to do... but they never do. so you will keep electing them in perpetuity expecting them to do... but they will never.

who is at fault there? The democraps who have been quite consistent for 4 decades... or voters who keep expecting them to change?

it ain't them. it's you... us.
