sadly they are NOT phony Christians. this is what Christianity has been for its entire history.
religion is like that. claim god is on your side and you can do all manner of evil.
The last Christian died on the cross. What entity now claims that appellation are really the Pharisees who were recruited by the opportunist Saul of Tarsus to take control over those who didn't obey the Jewish rabbinical elders. It took a few hundred years, but they did eventually realize their goal of replacing Rome as the power elite.
there never was any such 'last christian'. just like there was never a Danerys Targarian who magically went from altruistic to murderous psychopath.
all gods are made by men in their own image. that's why a Palestinian jew was made into a white Scandinavian-ish icon... for the white European "followers" to worship.
White Europeans would never worship a Palestinian jew. Not white and not Scandinavian looking.
