Nancy, Chuck And Trumpanzee vs McConnell, McCarthy And The GOP Deep State
>
Today Pelosi and Schumer are heading over to the White House-- this time at their own request-- to talk with Trumpanzee about infrastructure. This has McConnell and McCarthy fuming, primarily because Trump's own views on this are far more in synch with the Democrats than with the Republicans. Like the Democrats, he's looking to spend-- and spend big-- and wants signs everywhere that will say "this project is being built for you by Señor Donald J. Trumpanzee," or something along those lines.
Jonathan Swan broke the story at Axios that Trump told Richard Neal, chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, that he wants to spend close to $2 trillion on infrastructure. It isn't just McConnell and McCarthy who oppose him. Many in his own Regime are against it and it's unclear if he has the juice to get it through. Pelosi and Schumer want to get him to take a stand for what he-- and they-- want, even if it means McConnell, McCarthy and Trump's own skin-flint chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, have fits. The White House plan-- which Trump disparagingly calls "Gary's Plan" was put together by Gary Cohen before Trump canned him.
The "Gary Plan" was meant to authorize building out infrastructure through "public-private partnerships"-- leveraging a modest amount of government spending to stimulate private investment in projects around the country, which is a non-starter among Democrats and isn't something Trump is at all enthusiastic about either, having used the method to rip off the government and well aware of how it would be used to rip off tax dollars again.
Pelosi and Schumer aren't prepared to move unless Trump agrees to spend real federal dollars on this and raise the money needed with taxes that don't penalize working families. They are also insisting that all materials used in all the projects be American-made, something Trump will agree to instantly but that the Republican Party leaders never will. Today should be fun.

Behind the scenes: Trump came into office imagining a presidency in which new projects-- "built by the Trump administration"-- would be erected all over the country, sources close to him tell me.Kudlow, who's leading the White House team on this, isn't any more enthusiastic about it than the rest of the Republicans, who would rather give their wealthy donors more tax cuts than spend money on infrastructure, especially if the money spent has to include a revenue plan (i.e., taxes).
• There was a genuine naivety about the prospect of Democrats and Republicans coming together to do something on a grand scale with infrastructure," a former White House official told me. "It was one of those things where Trump said it was gonna be easy. He really thought so."
• In an early 2017 infrastructure meeting at the White House with his friend, New York real estate billionaire Richard LeFrak, Trump laid out his grand Trumpian vision. "They say Eisenhower was the greatest infrastructure president. They named the highway system after him," Trump said, per a source who was in the room. "But we're going to do double, triple, quadruple, what Eisenhower did."

nancy will have to vow to never ever impeach for trump to even talk to her.
she'll probably have to also vow to spike all those pretend investigations in a couple of house committees and spike all their subpoenas.
If any such projects started and did some hiring, you can bet also that they'll be hiring white.
The downside for the democraps is that trump will start singing his own praises for creating jobs. His approvals with idiot whites might go up a couple of points. Pelosi would have to answer to the minority of leftys that can actually fog a mirror for obviously refusing to do her job; the anti-red amplitude could be lessened; the anti-blue amplitude could be greater; And the 2020 election is almost here.
"Public-Private Partnerships" is a euphemism for swilling at the public trough. California freeways needed additional lanes, so we got toll lanes for the swells to joyride on. Care to pay $15 for a ten-mile break from traffic?
IIRC, the Skyway Bridge on the south side of Chicago was sold to a private for-profit company, as did the Indiana Toll Road. I'm sure there are many more examples.
When Eisenhower pushed for the Interstate system, he took a hint from the infamous bank robber Willie Sutton and went to where the money was: the Pentagon. Selling it a means of swiftly and effectively moving troops around the nation, and modeled after the German Autobahn network (which the Soviet forces used to get to Berlin quicker), the Armchairs with stars and bars on their lapels ate it up.
So it Trump can go to the Pentagon and take money for his waste of a wall, he gan go there for the funds for his infrastructure plans. Keep the profit pigs out of it, or there won't be much of a need to defend anything. It will already be rubble.
Trump orders his people not to cooperate with congress, ignore their subpoenas, ignores the HR1 on election reforms, vetoes Yemen stop war bill, creates a false national emergency to get border wall funds: and in one day Chuck and Nancy rush to get to the White House to get this great deal, in one day, without asking for any concessions from Trump, to make him look good? Guess they forgot there's an election or they've realized that Trump is the only way to stop Bernie that they have.
Qualifying 'deep state' with GOP is a lie. it's as much the democraps' because the same money that bought them also bought the Nazis. democraps debase themselves to vote for PATRIOT, the NSA, and refuse to defend the constitution and their co-equalness just as zealously as the Nazis.
no better than fox and msnbc.
how stupid would someone have to be to enter into ANY 'deal' with trump? His entire lifetime has been about breaking his 'deals'. He's already broken his word on DREAMers and other things.
Why would these democraps even waste their time? Are they not purposely failing to conduct oversight on this prez to allow him to be so bad that they can win more seats in 2020? Isn't that their whole strategery? Remember 2008?
