Midnight Meme Of The Day!

One party rule or two party rule, it's rarely really about solving problems, especially the problems of those that Washington condescendingly call "ordinary" Americans. It's all about maintaining the status quo for profit, and mucking it all up even more, while convincing the most people at election time that "I alone can fix it" when you have no intention of doing so because you're a sadistic sociopathic asshole.
Jamming a stick in the spokes is what way too many politicians love to do. Too many of them run for office just to have the opportunity and the cash that might bring. They love chaos as much as they fear a change in the status quo. Both have the advantage of offering excuses for doing nothing constructive while keeping the K Street Gravy Train running smoothly. That's Number One.
Intertwined with the current Trump Shutdown situation, we have a Tax Scam that has resulted in what will end up being trillions of dollars of debt because the Republican Party wanted to grease the palms of their super rich benefactors with a $1.5 Trillion handout, all for a kickback in "campaign contributions" (bribes) of course. Then, the same political betrayers and lowlife scum doubled down on their vileness by talking about offsetting some of that deficit by stealing the old age dignity and health of those "ordinary" Americans at the very same time that they demand billions for a useless boondoggle of a 7th century wall. Money for us? Zero. Money for an unneeded wall? Unlimited but let's start with $5 Billion. In the end, we "ordinary" Americans pay for it all and we still pay for the lifetime healthcare and pensions, aka socialistic retirement subsidies of those who stick it to us with a smirk as well.
What could that demanded $5 Billion for The Wall pay for instead of a useless wall? Lots of things: We could use it to help take care of our veterans; homeless vets, PTSD vets, physically disabled vets, all vets. We could fix Flint's water. We wouldn't have a president sadistically freezing cost of living increases for federal workers. We could earmark some of that money for Universal Pre-K for every kid under 5 in America. We could use it to fix a bridge or two before they collapse and kill more of us. We could add it to HIV research funds instead of cutting out funding for that research entirely due to an administration's virulent homophobia. There are so many problems $5 Billion could alleviate. But that would be too easy and especially too moral. Nothing's as easy as jamming that stick in the spokes though.

Another commenter keeps asking you if your epiphany has arrived yet. Your words tell me it's close, but I know you to be more emotional about this than rational. I don't say that as a slur, that's how you come across sometimes on Nicole Sander's show (to which I listen weekly to hear the latest you have to offer).
We have two years' worth of disappointments coming up, Howie. Time to toughen that emotional skin and gird those loins. The battle is just beginning. You happen to be the Intelligence branch of this sector of the opposition. We need to know who to work against in the next election. You are the best one to inform us who our enemies are and what they are up to.
8:40, If you bothered to actually read the posts, you would know that Howie didn't write this. The byline is staring you right in the face. You would also know that Howie and the others who write for DownWithTyranny constantly provide the information you claim to want. I find the blog very informative. Now go back under your bridge unless you have something positive to contribute rather than acting like a bot.
Like telling you to extract your pompous cranium from your dorsal port before you develop hemorrhoids?
Done.
3:44, That's it? That's the best you've got? Spoken like like a true Trumper. Jeez, you're just not worth the time.
