Hey, it's Sunday; Palm Sunday, in fact. Next Sunday is Easter, so what better time for a little of that ol' time comparative religion, the god kind and otherwise. Here in America, we have a political party that is intertwined with a brand of christianity that is so twisted that it isn't even christian anymore. As such, it has become nearly as virulently jihadist as their mirror image in the Middle East. Give it a little more time and you won't be able to tell them apart at all.
Since, as far as I can tell, most religion is all about guilt, repression, hating the other guy, and so many other forms of insanity, I thought today's meme would be a perfect way to start off this particular week. Ain't it strange how two clubs who spend so much energy sending messages of hate to eachother have so much in common? One man's Trump is another man's bin Laden. Works for women, too; maybe a little differently, though, as neither club has the gender power sharing thing working yet.

Religion IS the opiate of the masses, particularly those who fear dealing with the realities of life - especially death. It sometimes seems like they believe that if they kill enough people, the life energies of the deceased flow into the killer and extend living.

All the abrahamics are based on fear and hate. The 2 you illustrate are worse than the third, but it still applies (especially when you consider Netanyahu).
However, the religion that is the giant millstone around the necks of most of humanity has a much more powerful god. Capitalism adds greed and lust to fear and hate.
Nothing exercises the limbic part of the brain like capitalism. It hits all the highlights.
