Midnight Meme Of The Day!

>

by Noah

To say that I was disappointed last night when my wife told me that Saturday is that damn bi-annual dumbass "Daylight Savings" day is an understatement. On the list of my personal grievances, setting the clocks ahead an hour one day a year only to have to set them back one day a year in 6 months isn't a disaster, but, it is pretty absurd. It's especially annoying right now because I could really use that hour I'm going to lose this weekend. The whole thing seems outmoded, and I have more than the usual amount of things to do right now. Besides, those who know me well, know that I try mightily to always live in my own personal timezone anyway. So, outside forces piss me off. Why oh Lord, why!

Still, if "Daylight Savings" must be obeyed, couldn't we have an extra special version where Republicans stop running away from time and reality itself? Aw hell, let's just let them all go live in Russia. It's their kind of place. They'd obviously be much happier there.

Think positive, Noah. We will have another whole hour of daylight at the end of each day! Living in NY, this is a gift.

Besides, this is such a tiny issue compared to like, virtually everything else that is going on!

People who sleep until noon never understand why we observe daylight saving.

you don't really get an extra hour of daylight. You **DO** know that... riiight??

DST has always been moronic. A testament to the utter stupidity of mankind.

I remember a story of a pilot flying into Ryad getting on the PA and telling his passengers they were on final approach and to set their watches ahead x hours and their calendars back 600 years.

Perhaps when flying into TX et al, they should advise setting calendars back 160 years -- back to when slavery was still a 'thing'. It would make the white racists happy/nostalgic and the rest would just sigh.

I DO get an extra hour of day light at a time in the daily schedule when I can use it, Mr. Brilliant! When you can show me a real benefit to not changing the clocks, I will support you. Until then, you know what opinions are like - and everyone has one.

I have been wishing that all of these politicians who think Russia is so great, would please do the rest of us a huge favor and emigrate to Russia immediately! It would save us all a lot of grief. That includes the tRumpster.

So, 10:38, how do you cope with LOSING that hour of daylight?
If Hone gets an extra hour from DST, you must lose it by NOT having DST. It's logical.

**Hone, you can't see that I'm winking at all this. But I am.

If AZ had a reliable water source for the next 50 years, I'd move there today. It's no less red than where I live now and the weather is better. Also a fan of Paul Goldschmidt. AND, I like that it says no to the delusions of DST.
