The Company You Keep-- American Nazis Endorse Trump

>

The mob of angry white Republicans who have propelled Trump to the top of the Republican heap may not care that his businesses are intimately tied to the Mafia, and they actually lionize him for his misogyny, his racism and his compulsive lying. But how do they feel about old-style fascism?

About 10 days ago we looked at the many similarities between Trump's ascension and Mussolini's, due primarily to a willingness-- or eagerness-- to exploit the frailties and hopes of frightened, angry, confused supporters. More recently the comparisons between Trump and Hitler have started springing up-- one, in fact, from senior Republican propaganda writer George Will, who wrote in the Washington Post and National Review that the hundreds of billions of dollars that Trump's illusory immigration plan would cost "could be reduced if, say, the targets were required to sew yellow patches on their clothing to advertise their coming expulsion. There is precedent."

But not all the comparisons are from Trump detractors. In his half-empty stadium show in Mobile, Alabama, last week, there were people enthusiastically screaming "white power!" Former Republican legislator David Duke, an anti-Semitic fanatic and KKK Grand Wizard or Dragon, heaped praise on Trump (even though he has Jewish connections) for his promise to deport 11 million immigrants. "Trump is really, he's really going all out," crowed Duke. "He's saying what no other Republicans have said, few conservatives say. And he's also gone to the point where he says it's not just illegal immigration, it's legal immigration."

And yesterday Andrew Anglin, editor of the overtly Nazi website The Daily Stormer, wrote a glowing endorsement of Trump for the American neo-Nazis and assorted crackpots who consider the site their online home. Anglin:
I am hereby making an official endorsement of Donald Trump as President of America.

We obviously have many disagreements, but he is talking about actual issues, and this is severely important.

I do not believe he would solve all or even most of the problems we are facing, but he is absolutely the only candidate who is even talking about anything at all that matters.

He is certainly going to be a positive influence on the Republican debates, as the modern Fox News Republican has basically accepted the idea that there is no going back from mass immigration, and Trump is willing to say what most Americans think: it’s time to deport these people. He is also willing to call them out as criminal rapists, murderers and drug dealers.

His announcement contained many important statements, but the most important were about Mexicans.

...Perhaps most importantly, he is the only Republican candidate with any chance whatsoever of beating Hillary, and Hillary has a plan to bring down all hell upon us. Eight years of Hillary would end with America simply not existing any more. She will flood the country with more immigrants than Bush and Obama combined, she will continue to wage war against Russia, she will totally bankrupt the country worse than it already is and she will destroy the Constitution by restricting gun and speech rights.

So, having thought it through and looked at the situation for the 12 days since Trump announced, I am ready to fully endorse him as the most viable current candidate for President.

Again, this doesn’t mean I endorse all of his positions or even him as an individual person, but I do believe that having him as President would at least give America some time to stand back and try to figure some things out.

I urge all readers of this site to do whatever they can to make Donald Trump President.

UPDATE: Trump Reacts

Trump doesn't seem to care one way or the other about his new backers to the right of the GOP. "People like me across the board. Everybody likes me," he told the media when questioned about his backing from KKK and Nazi racists.
