Some Republicans Who Voted To Impeach Bill Clinton Are Still In Congress

>

The Senate could have removed Bill Clinton from office. There was, after all a 55-45 GOP majority, in the Senate when they voted on the House's impeachment articles. But they wisely backed away from the entirely partisan ledge their colleagues in the House had dragged them to. No Democrats voted for removal and 8 Republican senators voted not guilty on at least one of the two articles. The only Republicans left in the Senate who voted to remove Bill Clinton from office are:
Miss McConnell (R-KY)
John McCain (R-AZ)
Jim Inhofe (R-OK)
Jeff Sessions (KKK-AL)
Pat Roberts (R-KS)
Mike Enzi (R-WY)
Mike Crapo (R-ID)
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Orrin Hatch (R-UT)
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
Below you'll find a whole gaggle of former House Members, now in the Senate, who voted to impeach President Clinton. He isn't in the Senate any longer, but Chuck Hagel (R-NE) also voted to remove Clinton from office on both counts. He's up for some big job now.

The big vote in the House was on December 19, 1998 and the GOP rammed through the first article of impeachment 228-206. 5 Republicans voted NO and five "Democrats" voted yes, two of whom, Virgil Goode and Ralph Hall, switched from Blue Dog Democrat to Republican soon after. The 3 other Blue Dogs who voted to impeach are gone from politics now: Gene Taylor (MS), Charlie Stenholm (TX) and Paul McHale (PA). The only one of the 5 Republicans left in politics who voted against impeachment is Peter King of Long Island. These are the Republicans who voted to impeach Clinton who are still in Congress:
Robert Aderholt (R-AL)
Spencer Bachus (R-AL)
Joe Barton (R-TX)
Roy Blunt (R-MO), now a Senator
John Boehner (R-OH)
Kevin Brady (TX)
Richard Burr (NC), now a Senator
Ken Calvert (CA)
Dave Camp (MI)
Steve Chabot (OH)
Howard Coble (NC)
Tom Coburn (OK), now a Senator
Mike Crapo (ID), now a Senator
Jimmy Duncan (TN)
Randy Forbes (VA)
Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ)
Robert Goodlatte (VA)
Lindsey Graham (SC), now a Senator
Ralph Hall (TX)
Doc Hastings (WA)
Sam Johnson (TX)
Walter Jones (NC)
Jack Kingston (GA)
Tom Latham (IA)
Frank LoBiondo (NJ)
Buck McKeon (CA)
John Mica (FL)
Jeff Miller (FL)
Jerry Moran (KS), now a Senator
Joe Pitts (PA)
Rob Portman (OH), now a Senator
Hal Rogers (KY)
Dana Rohrabacher (CA)
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL)
Ed Royce (CA)
Matt Salmon (AZ)
Jim Sensenbrenner (WI)
Pete Sessions (TX)
John Shimkus (IL)
Bill Shuster (PA)
Chris Smith (NJ)
Mac Thornberry (TX)
John Thune (SD), now a Senator
Fred Upton (MI)
Ed Whitfield (KY)
Roger Wicker (MS), now a Senator
Frank Wolf (VA)
Don Young (AK) Bill Young (FL)
Most of the House's 13 impeachment managers are long gone from electoral politics. The only managers still left in office are Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Steve Chabot (R-OH). Lindsey Graham, a real low life closet case cowering in fear that he's going to be outed back in South Carolina, is a lot worse now than he was then (via Digby):

Correction: Chuck Grassley isn't a Senator from Nebraska, he's from Iowa. Chuck Hagel was a Senator from Nebraska, so that's maybe where the confusion came from. Hope that helps.

So the people who impeached Clinton over a blow job he lied about should not hold their moral and ethical mirror up to this administration? Seriously. A blow job is a constitutional crisis, but a whole team of liars about their ongoing contacts with Russian Imperials, who simultaneously receive payments for their personal businesses should just get a pass?? Are you really that ignorant. A blow job is going to cancel the Constitution, but Trumps team and frankly, Trump himself, colluding with Russia to get elected doesn't pose any kind of threat? Wow! I guess you are not too concerned with the Constitution, or your country so long as there is a cross wearing, flag draped tool with an R after his name holds the Presidency???

Keep in mind, the disclosures signed in order for Kirshner to get his security clearance have an acknowledgement that he was telling the truth and subject to perjury. He's revised twice (lied or failed to disclose twice - under oath) and he gets a security clearance and a pass??? Sorry! I see Kirshner, Trump and everyone surrounding this team as fundamentally treasonous. And, yes that includes the Vice President. They all need to be pulled from office and Paul Ryan sworn in until this is unraveled. I am no fan of Hillary Clinton, but if this election was the way it looks like it was, upon close of the investigation, she should immediately be sworn into office an watch the treasonous liars head to the firing squad. No pass for this level of High Crime against the entire nation.
