Finally, "Breaking Bad" fans -- counting down to the Season 5 premiere on July 15 -- have something to WATCH!

"When this hits the news," Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte) tells his father (Bryan Cranston) about his Uncle Hank's unmasking of the now-departed chicken entrepreneur Gus Fring as Albuquerque's premier drug lord, "he's going to be a hero."

Okay, there was a Season 5 trailer, but that contained fragments of only a few seconds. Now the AMC genies have given us something to actually look at while we wait for the premiere on July 15.
Naturally -- and cleverly -- these two minutes contain no real "disclosures" about what's to come, as Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte) bubbles over to his father (Bryan Cranston), with his mother (Anna Gunn) discreetly disappears, about the earth-shaking posthumous revelations now splashed all over the tube regarding dearly departed chicken magnate Gus Fring. Of course Walter Sr. is only too well-informed, on an up-close-and-personal basis, about both the drug-kingpin life and the violent demise of his former employer.
With 12 days still to go, perhaps AMC will serve up some more scraps before the big day. But as of July 15, the Breaking Bad gang -- well, most of it -- will be back in business.
Back at the start of Season 4 we see two of my favorite Breaking Bad characters. By this time fastidious chemist-turned-meth-maker Gale Boetticher (David Costabile, right) was already a ghost, having bought it at literally the very end of Season 3. (Gale has since been resurrected, under a pseudonym and with a promotion, in the second season of USA's Suits, as wily Pearson Hardman law firm founding partner Daniel Hardman.) By the end of Season 4 Gale's former employer, chicken and meth magnate Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), would suffer an even more gruesome fate.
