David Vitter-- A Deranged Anti-American Confederate

>

David Vitter is probably best known as a hypocrite and sex pervert who has been preaching "family values" as a career path in backward parts of Louisiana, while spending more time in diapers, being spanked by hookers, than any other member of the Senate. But that isn't even the most unattractive thing about Vitter, one of the Senate's most heinous reactionaries. Like many of the worst of the obstructionist, mostly unreconstructed Confederate lawmakers, Vitter is a die-hard cheerleader for failure. Everything he does in the Senate is predicated on bringing about the collapse of democracy and of the United States government. Vitter is a blight on the greatness of this country-- and so are the brainwashed idiots who elect him. I should add that in 2010, what's left of the Democratic Party in Louisiana didn't offer much of an alternative, just another corrupt, conservative Blue Dog, Charlie Melancon, who lost 57-38% and immediately took a job as a lobbyist. Vitter won every parish in the state except Assumption, East Carroll, Iberville, Orleans, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, and St. John the Baptist-- 715,415 votes against Melancon's 476,572. I wonder what would happen if there was just a straight up vote for secession?

As Chris Hayes, sitting in for Rachel Maddow on Monday night, explained, Vitter is blocking-- on behalf of the Republican Party-- bipartisan Fed nominations because he and his party fear an improved economic situation in America could doom Romney's shot at the presidency and doom the Republicans' bid to capture the Senate. Is it treason? You bet it is!

Yes, Vitter IS quite the miserable pig but my top reason is the amendment bearing his name that was affixed to the No Child Left Behind Act that is bad enough on its own.

Vitter (then in the House) wrote, or more likely, simply pushed, the adopted provision that forces school districts to supply 9th-12th grade kids' contact information to the military for recruitment purposes, unless parents take the positive step to "opt out."

In practice, school districts are a bit lax about giving adequate warning to parents.

OINK.
