Don't Fall Victim To Scam Artists Who Want You To Give Them Money "For Elizabeth Warren"
>
Tomorrow Elizabeth Warren's Senate campaign will start running it's first TV spot (above). It doesn't mention that Scott Brown is Wall Street's favorite senator and it doesn't mention the vicious smear campaign that Karl Rove is waging against her on his behalf (with money from John Templeton). It's just an introductory bio piece, her own personal story in her own words. She explains how her own life story is interwoven into fabric of what makes her part of the 99% and why she has been relentless in standing up against Wall Street in her career. Take a look and if you'd like to help her keep it on the air, please consider contributing to her campaign directly here.
I want to warn you about the barrage of e-mail pleas going out to anyone who ever signed one of those fake DSCC "petitions" to John Boehner or Grover Norquist or whatever silliness they used to get your e-mail address. The pleas for money "for Elizabeth" do not help Elizabeth. Virtually all the money you send to the DSCC goes to prop up unpopular conservatives who vote against most of what Elizabeth Warren stands for-- conservative, anti-Choice, anti-gay corporate hack/1%-er and multimillionaire Ben Nelson (NE) is a good example. Don't donate anything through the DSCC or the DCCC. They support conservative Democrats who can't raise money because Democrats hate them. And Democrats hate them because they vote with the Republicans. Instead, if you want to elect progressives like Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Baldwin and Bernie Sanders, donate to their campaigns directly. You also have the added benefit of all your money going to elect the candidate and not being skimmed off the top by well-connected and thoroughly worthless Beltway consultants. Elizabeth:
"As I've been traveling all across the commonwealth, I've been meeting people, introducing myself, and letting them know I understand the pressures on middle class families. Our first ad does the same. It tells my story of coming up the hard way in a middle class family that, like so many others, struggled to get by. I put my values right upfront and explain why I'm in this race.
"With Karl Rove and his Wall Street buddies bankrolling ridiculous attack ads, it's more important than ever that the people of Massachusetts know the facts about me and my fight for middle class families.
"Together we can stand up to Karl Rove, the big banks, and the Wall Street lobbyists."
Again, you can contribute directly to Elizabeth's campaign here through ActBlue.

This is not to rain on the Liz Warren parade. But just a warning that she may not be as progressive as we think she will be (whilw way better than Scott Brown):

I don't think many of us view Warren as the kind of progressive Kennedy was, g3. But we know she believes in fiscal oversight of government spending and bailouts, and she's about as good as it's going to get with a chance of beating the cardboard cutout she's running against.
