How Many Lives Did Romney Destroy To Become So Rich?

>

Wednesday I took a first stab stab at examining Mitt Romney's role in the downfall of Warner Bros Records. It's a long, complicated story and I expect to develop it more extensively over the course of the campaign if Romney overcomes teabagger hysteria and wins the Republican nomination. He is, after all, in possession of something like a quarter billion dollars and some people might wonder how he got his hands on so much.

The other day Colbert did a very successful look at how Romney's company-- Bain Capital, the source of his wealth-- employed a corporate strategy that was based around not creating jobs but firing employees. At my company, they fired 4/5s of the employees... and turned the company from the greatest music company in history into a worthless shell. Thousands of lives were wrecked. But Bain and Romney got very, very rich. I would really recommend that you watch the Colbert episode... and make sure you send it to your friends and family, especially to anyone who buys into the mass media meme that he's a "job creator" or a "model businessman."
