Is It Too Late For A Political Contribution To Make A Difference?

>

Not too late to make sure you don't wake up in a week and find these 2 clowns in charge

It's certainly not too late, unless you make your donations via the outmoded party committees, a waste of resources in the best of times and 100% useless now, one week out from election day. But through ActBlue, the electronic donation you make to Blue America or to a resourceful, scrappy grassroots-oriented campaign-- like Justin Coussoule's or Billy Kennedy's or Bill Hedrick's-- can be on the air as a radio or TV ad within one day!

If you would like to help us run our TV ads ripping apart hate merchant Virginia Foxx, you can donate here. Even $5 or $10 will make it certain the voters in Iredell, Forsyth, Watauga and Ashe counties she the ads and understand that there's an alternative to the embarrassing Foxx. Can you imagine defeating John Boehner in his own backyard as he prepares to dump Nancy Pelosi out of the Speaker's chair? It's not impossible. A poll from the Hilary Clinton Legacy PAC shows that 60% of the voters in OH-8 think Boehner is doing a lousy job. Most of them don't know about Justin Coussoule. That's what we can help get out-- in lieu of a DCCC that had an ounce of competence. Every cent you can afford to give here will be on TV in Butler, Montgomery, Miami or Darke County this week.

And Blue America is reaching over 1,300,000 voting age internet users with targeted Foreclosure Crisis ads, like the one above, in Orlando, Tucson, Columbus and in the northern suburbs of Cincinnati-- on behalf of Alan Grayson, Raul Grijalva, Mary Jo Kilroy and Justin Coussoule. Click the ad and take a look at the message we hope to get hundreds of thousands of voters in each district to focus in on during this last week of the campaign. Blue America is funded by small, grassroots contributions. Our average donation is something like $43.00 but most people give around $20. It adds up.

Our House candidates can be contributed to directly on this page and, again, each of these campaigns has unfunded goals they want to achieve. Fred Johnson was telling me the other day about a radio ad he has up and wants to expand. Tarryl Clark and Joyce Elliott have effective media strategies they're running against Michele Bachmann and Tim Griffin. The DCCC refuses to help either. Can you? Ann Kuster is almost guaranteed a House seat if her field operation can keep running. Exact same story for Bill Hedrick on the other side of the country. Congressional victories for Beth Krom in Orange County and Ed Potosnak in New Jersey are within reach but each knows that they have much chance of getting contributions from the DCCC than they do of getting them from John Campbell or Leonard Lance.

You may think it's an exaggeration to say the plutocrats behind the Republican Party see this election as an opportunity to overturn progressive accomplishments going back nearly 100 years-- and perhaps democracy itself. But it isn't an exaggeration.

The first five donors today at the Blue America '10 page will get a special thank you in the form of an autographed copy of Russ Baker's spectacular Family of Secrets. Any candidate or combination of candidates; your choice.
