Not So Much Comedy Tonight: That NBC "Outsourced" premise keeps getting hilariouser and hilariouser

>

Noah sends word, by way of follow-up to his Labor Day post, "Since When Did Outsourcing Become Funny?," about NBC's undoubtedly side-splitting new sitcom Outsourced, in which a poor soul is sent to India to train the people who are putting him and his coworkers out of work. -- Ken
I sent my post to my brother today and he responded with the news that the company that my nephew works for has just outsourced its scanning work to India, and, just like the guy in the Outsourced TV show, he's been asked to go to India to train the new "team." He's gone on his honeymoon instead and doesn't expect to have a job when he gets back. This is the reality that NBC thinks is funny. This is the reality that Gingrich, Clinton, and the Bushes gave us. And this is the reality that neither party wants to address because Washington is bought and sold. They provoke and provoke and provoke.

NBC spells c-o-m-e-d-y!

I'll make a defense of NBC's programming in this case. Its a cynical attempt to appeal to the Indian population by putting Indian faces on a show destined for failure; while, saving the space for "Parks and Recreation" which had a production hiatus to do to Amy Poehler's pregnancy.

Personally, I'd like to see more episodes of Psych, an NBC show.

At the same time, some retired TV producer called NBC's other temporary show from the spring the worst show he had ever seen including 30 years of rejected pilots.

Say, Anon, do we know the name of that other show? Sounds like it should really be worth watching for if and when it turns up on the schedule.

They pulled it. I watched five minutes of the first show and thought there was a metajoke involved, and then I realized it was the real show. Its Plan 9 from Outer Space bad without the redeeming social qualities.

I looked it up "100 Questions," but watching it will ruin your day. There is no sick enjoyment to be taken out of it.
