Republicans Prepare To Repeat NY-23 In Kentucky Senate Race

>

Trey Grayson should bow out now & make way for the inevitable

Bill Owens isn't exactly my kind of Democrat. But in the end, he did pledge to support the public option and to support women's choice. We'll have to watch and see if he turns out any better than Scott Murphy has; he certainly couldn't be worse. But he did, quite improbably, beat back the teabagger rebellion that swamped the dominant Republican Establishment. The Republican Party probably feels they should have listened to Newt Gingrich instead of to self-serving ratings-mongers Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh (who actually blamed Gingrich for the teabagger catastrophe last night!) and the wannabe from Alaska. It was nothing short of pathetic to watch an array of Republican establishment types from Tim Pawlenty-- who, does, after all, define "pathetic"-- abandon their own party's mainstream candidate and follow Limbaugh, Beck and Palin down the rabbit hole... or the toilet.

The Republicans should have won in NY-23 last night, just as they have since just after the Civil War. But their own civil war killed it for them and saved the day for a mediocre Democrat with not much recommending him other than he wasn't one of them. And what did the two warring factions on the right learn? To work together? Not a chance. Each side now thinks they have to work harder to defeat the other faction. Establishment Republicans have been wringing their hands as they watch Gov. Charlie Crist's once unassailable lead turn to dust under withering fire from the same forces who led them to ruin in upstate New York.

And then this morning we woke up to the news that Miss McConnell's most prized recruit, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson-- for whom Missy knifed Jim Bunning in the back-- is now losing the race for the Republican Senate nomination. The latest polling shows Rand Paul with 35% and the incredibly shrinking Trey Grayson with 32%. Grayson's dependence on Establishment and corporate money to fund his campaign is also losing out to Paul's grassroots fundraising. NRSC Chair Cornyn has been strong-arming Republican senators into donating to Grayson but Paul seems to have won the hearts and minds of the disgruntled Kentucky Republicans-- if not the country club set.

Jon Ward, White House correspondent for the Moonie Times frets "that the backlash against the Republican Party in a New York congressional election Tuesday marked the start of a wave that will continue in key 2010 Senate races, saying they think independent voters will abandon a divided Republican Party." Democrats are excited that teabagger extremists are challenging NRSC candidates in plenty of states besides Kentucky and Florida. Failed corporate hack Carly Fiorina hopes to buy the GOP nod in California but teabaggers have their own kooky fringe candidate, Chuck DeVore, and they have every intention of destroying Fiorina-- a much easier target-- the same way they destroyed Scozzafava. In fact, just as Fiorina officially announced her candidacy this morning, the teabaggers' #1 Senate proponent, secessionist Jim DeMint, endorsed DeVore. Teabaggers are also determined to run vicious-- burn down the house-- primaries in Connecticut, Delaware, Missouri, New Hampshire, Illinois and Ohio.

Bob Menendez, head of the DSCC said that "What we are seeing here is a fractured GOP in Senate races all over the country... The tea partiers and the birthers and the far right of their party is moving these candidates in that direction, and that's a lot harder when you have to win in the general election."

Oh, one more thing-- probably the most important-- about the polling today: if Rand Paul is the GOP candidate, the Democrat will probably win. If Miss McConnell's empty suit is the candidate, there is a better chance for Republicans to hold the seat. And that's what the problem is from Florida to New Hampshire and from California to Delaware.

Actually The recent polling has Rand dead even with the Democrats in the head to head. I think you'll find that many Republicans are fed up enough with Republican Establishment types pushing for bailouts and corporatism that they're willing to let a democrat or 2 win to teach them a lesson.

In the end, if the Republican Party behaves exactly like the Democrats, what's the point of winning?

It's possible that Rand might actually get the backing of the Senate Conservatives. Time will tell. I think many independents also have much more in common with the grass roots candidates then the establishment ones.
Rand Paul leads Grayson in Recent Survey USA poll; And will Senate Conservatives Endorse Rand Paul?

Rand Paul is for the people, unless you want more bailouts, more tax increases, a former democrat as the republican nominee for Senate and the same old establishment politics. Vote for Rand Paul he speaks the truth and the media and government is afraid of him. This is the last honest politician left to bring this country out of this rut from the war profiteers and Obama administration has created. Get motivated America, don't believe the lies of the media! Go Rand Paul! Value freedom and liberty instead of corporate lies and corruption. Tell your family and friends and get involved in the official Rand Paul 2010 campaign and make your voice heard! He will do everything he can to eliminate the IRS and wasteful government spending, and expose the Federal Reserve and restore power to the people. Can any other runner make these claims or give Americans the true freedom we were all raised to believe? We are all economic slaves to the banks and the illegal Federal Reserve. This is why our currency is worth nothing because of hidden inflation tax and the IRS taking everything you make!

** RAND PAUL WILL STOP THE TAXPAYER RIPOFFS IMMEDIATELY! **

Rand Paul will NEVER vote:

* to raise taxes
* for an unbalanced budget
* to raise congressional pay
* for a federal restriction on gun ownership
* to increase the power of the executive branch

He WILL vote:

* against bailouts for failing banks
* against higher taxes
* against regulating the internet
* against bills that violate our civil liberties
* against pork spending
* for term limits

He will eliminate the IRS, wasteful government spending & bailouts! Most importantly, he will vote NO on anything in Congress that is not allowed by the U.S.. Constitution. And he despises any politician that does not do their job for the people and does not live up to our Constitution! Google.com & Youtube.com Search: "Rand Paul" Kentucky needs a real Senator that will restore and protect Americans! No tax increases! No bailouts! No earmarks! Protect our civil rights!

****SUPPORT RAND PAUL 2010****

Democrats have ruined it for themselves forever when they admitted they admire ChairMan Mao, one of the biggest murders of our times, and people are finding out that they are funded by Nazi sympahizer George Soros who sent his fellow Jews to the ovens and is still proud of it to this day.

Rand Paul is a common sense freedom loving DARLING and anyone who is a human won't vote for an inhuman murderous health care rationing Democrat!

I am a liberal and I like Rand Paul. He seems to be very sincere and honest. I like his fiscal conservatism and stances on civil liberties but really have to overlook the pro-life stance.

Advice to Rand Paul supporters: use your own words, not a big, long copy & paste from somewhere else. Looks like the Ron Paul template (whom I like too)

That said, I hope he wins!

There is a group in Mississippi that will defeat Incumbent Gene Pelosi Taylor. The most conservative District in the United States. We will be getting Gene Taylor out, because he is not a conservative. There is also a group out there http://www.firegenetaylor.com

Gene Taylor has a NON Politician running against him. Gene Taylor to vote for Health Care bill if it has Prescription Drug and Generic changes or Anti Trust. I would assume if they lump the Multi-Perils crap in their also that he would support it, but he has not stated that as of yet.

http://www.citizenliberty.com

Gene Taylor said:" If I get a chance to take away the anti trust exemption I'm gonna do it." He said this when asked what circumstances he would vote for National Health Care, Socialist Health Care etc.

Just wait liberals, keep ignoring the truth.

I don't really care if you agree with us or not. Such an ironic blog; down with Tyranny? Yet you seem to support it from all the posts I read.

Read some Jefferson or Taylor. Or you can keep ignoring the fact that Hoffman got 45+ percent of the vote with no name id in NEW YORK, regardless of who held the seat previously.

Gene Taylor's opponent and successor is Joe Tegerdine www.Joetegerdine.com
