Anybody who would use a light-hearted song meant for kids to spew a political hate message is indeed a jerk.....
@Mike R, correct. SpongeBob should be put in the microwave for 10 secs to restore him to "purity".
FYI, Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob, is a progressive. He did a special version of "Best Day Ever" to celebrate Obama's win last year. I don't know whether or not he'd approve of all the visuals here, but I think he'd like the sentiment.
