Can The Far Right Find Even One Democrat To Legitimize Their Racist, Sexist Attack On Judge Sotomayor?

>

Ben and Beauregard

Well... if you were a Republican KKK Grand Dragon, like say Jefferson Beauregard something the third, and you wanted one Democrat to burnish his independence at the expense of the president's nomination where would you look? Obviously Louisiana and Arkansas come right to mind, because we all know how independent of anyone not writing them checks Blanche Lincoln, Mark Pryor and Mary Landrieu are. But it looks like the Republicans have found their useful idiot: a man named Ben, silly.

And is Reid actually growin' a pair? Like enough to toss Nelson over to the other side where he belongs? Of course not but he double dares him to step out of bounds on the confirmation-- apparently more important than the great job Nelson is doing in helping Max Baucus kill the entire notion of a robust and competitive public plan in the health care reform bill. (Both tasks Nelson has taken on are for his corporate patrons, although he's constantly posing as an independent voice back home, the Beltway's biggest joke.) After a meeting with Latino leaders last night, Give 'em Hell Harry barked, regarding his fellow Democratic senators, or at least any of them named Ben from Nebraska, "I dare any one of them to say they’re not” supporting Sotomayor."
Reid’s statement comes on the heels of comments by Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.)-- a moderate Member with a strong independent streak-- in which he questioned some of Sotomayor’s statements on race and the role of the judiciary.

According to the Omaha World-Herald, Nelson called Sotomayor’s comments “troubling” and would like her to provide an explanation.

“What I want to do is have her explain to me what she meant by that and give her an opportunity to satisfy me that she doesn’t intend to take an agenda to the bench,” Nelson said.

Too bad Nelson doesn't tweet. I'd love to have read his blow by blow on President Obama's speech in Cairo today. I had to satisfy myself by just reading reports about how angry it made terrorists living in Waziristan caves and rabid neocon America-haters like David Frum and Ira Stoll

What have you been drinking that makes you think Harry the Paper Tiger ever does more than bark and backdown? Come on, you know better than to quote such nonsense as though it means anything.

I would hope that a wise WHITE MAN with the richness of his experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion.

Is that racist enough for you?
