The Crazy Adventures Of Texas Secessionist Rick Perry-- And His Georgia Allies

>

Forget about all the rumors that Texas secessionist Gov. Rick Perry is another GOP closet queen. What's buzzin' in Austin this week isn't the latest siting of Perry stumbling out of Charlie's onto Lavaca Street but the nasty turn in his re-election bid. A top Perry campaign aide told the Dallas Morning News that Kay Bailey Hutchison had turned the GOP into a whorehouse. Perry refused to apologize.

But the odd thing is that no one was talking about how both Kay Bailey and Perry are absolutely notorious for taking big money campaign donations (i.e., legalized bribes) and then delivering to their special interests benefactors no matter how badly it hurts their constituents. People who wonder why KBH is always voting with the banksters need look no further than her FEC reports that show what a cozy relationship she has with the finance/insurance/real estate sector. Her $4,685,238 in "donations" from these crooked special interests was higher than any other Republican senators other than McCain (who got the dough because of his presidential campaign), Mitch McConnell (R-KY- $5,013,778) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN- $4,685,238). And they always get their money's worth.

But the Perry campaign called her a whore because they claim she's so inclusive that she wants to let voters who support stem cell research into the party! Perry, on the other hand, is another lockstep lemming type Republican looking for country club purity for his shrunken version of the GOP. Most Texans haven't been impressed with his secessionist credo but he seems to have gotten the KKK Republicans in Georgia all worked up and hot under their collars. Four of the 6 reactionary Republicans running for Governor of the Peach state are running on a secessionist or quasi secessionist platform. One of the Democrats in the race, David Poythress, a former commander of the Georgia National Guard, calls it disgraceful and pointed out that "none of these Republican secession candidates ever wore, for a single day, the uniform of our country, ever carried a weapon, or heard a shot fired in anger. Not one ever put their life on the line to protect our freedoms and liberties. But they recklessly call for secession from America. They would, in effect, ban the American flag, and end the Pledge of Allegiance. They would say to the world that when they don’t get their way, they quit. That’s just childish. That’s cowardice, not leadership." Watch him; he makes a good case against these four neo-Confederate slimebags, all that's left of what was once, ironically, the Party of Abraham Lincoln:
