John Stewart Eviscerates Jim Cramer And TV Business Shows-- Historical Television

Tonight John Stewart, a comedian, did more to uncover the complicity of corporate television in the grand theft of as much as one-fifth of the wealth of this country's inhabitants than anyone-- more than anyone Inside the Beltway, more than any Wall Street watchdogs, and more than any media watchdogs. I'd like to see every bankster in the country forced to appear with him for an hour. Let's hope Barney Frank, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were watching. Yesterday, Cramer was preparing himself for the slaughter he was too lame to avoid. Tonight he came off like a beaten dog. Comedy Central caught a predator tough guy who crumbled and couldn't stand up for himself. If you think Stewart's been tough on Cramer and MSNBC before tonight... forget it! Watch it over at Crooks and Liars.

Stewart should look at Congress who set up the policey of destruction not Cramer, but that would expose some of his lefty pals. The same Congress since 2006 by the way.Cramer should not feel ashamed he looks at the what the numbers say (which were fudged), not who is putting money under the table to him.
Its really sad that in this country, the REpublicans cry WOLF(when they shoot them from an airplane) but they absolutely real in horror that a comedian... a court jester if you will, is the only one who can speak the truth to Americans without getting called a terrorist, a commie, or a punk by the likes of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Neal Boortz.
The fact that we rely on Comedy to give is the real facts, shrouded in jest... is completely insane!!!!
Why can't real news be this bold!? Ohhh that's right... Because the news is exactly what Jon pointed out as the problem... They want to be entertainment, like Palin and Bush, and cheat you out of your money because they know you're stupid enough to trust anything thats on TV and claims to be " Nuetral."

I can't watch enough of this interview. I have a feeling this will become a landmark piece in the way popular culture sees finance and business news in the future. It's also a classic piece for the comedians of this world.
I'm also a big fun of John's show and think his abilities as a debater are amazing.
At the same time, however, we need to point out a fact. Cramer should not make the scapegoat of this financial crisis. Almost none of the world's economists ever saw this coming, none of them just as none of the news organisations could predict this. The responsibility lies on people like Cramer as much as it lies on the rest of the world.
Also, I'd like to say, John Stewart is a comedian. I admit he is quite smart, an excellent debater and does not lack education. He is capable of talking 'common sense' if you will. But he remains a comedian, and as such we the public must take with care what he says, the conclusions he makes and the messages he sends.
Does anyone really think that this phony equity is real wealth. It is nothing but a figment of peoples imaginations. Real wealth is the accumulated knowledge and artifacts available to humanity to provide the goods and services we need to live in luxury. We need a new accounting system based on energy as the accounting unit not a bunch of phony paper money or stock certificates or electrons in some computer at the federal reserve. Making money and making sense are mutually exclusive. Our economic system like our religious systems are based on myths and lies. Our science system is based on observation and truth.
This is a wake up call everyone we need an accounting system based on what is really here. If the ship is sinking in the middle of the ocean real wealth becomes the life jackets, life boats and equipment to send out the SOS not the paper money.
Time to start making sense. We should all be living like millionaires as real wealth is without practical. Stop playing the game of monopoly. We know who one. Start redesigning the future so the world works for everyone. No more hunger or poverty. All the parts are here. Let's start rearranging them to provide the things we really want and need so it works for everyone in the shortest amount of time possible through spontaneous cooperation without disadvantaging anyone.
I have watched some of Jim Cramer's TV product and have not liked much of it. The Jim Cramer on Jon Stewart's show seemed humble and was trying to square up what he and CNBC have produced (and failed to produce) with Jon Stewart who is the touchstone of truth in this day and age. I can only hope more people who the public looks to for truth have the guts to show up on The Daily Show and actually listen to what Jon Stewart has to say.
That all being said I will look forward to Jim Cramer covering the Federal Reserve a bit more in the future than he has in the past.
