WHY DO DCCC-TYPE DEMOCRATS TAKE HOMOPHOBIC, REPUBLICAN-LITE POSITIONS?

>

Conventional wisdom says that Democrats need to cringe with fear when same sex marriage is brought up in campaigns by homophobic Republicans. Cringers lose elections but the same way the Rahm Emanuel and the DCCC pushed candidates who subsequently lost in 2006 to tone down their anti-war rhetoric, they are being told to avoid standing up for principles of equality when it comes to marriage equality this year.

And nowhere have they found a more willing little worthles shill than in AZ-01, the district being given up by indicted Republicrook Rick Renzi. The handpicked DCCC insider, Ann Kirkpatrick, thinks the way to do battle with a right wing extremist is to take a wishy-washy position. She doesn't support amending the Constitution to ban gay marriage but she says she thinks "marriage should be reserved for heterosexual relationships." Weak, weak, weak. It stinks of loserdom.

The grassroots candidate, Howard Shanker, took a very different approach. Jeff Farias asked him about gay marriage on Air Amrerica. He was far clearer and more consistent-- and more in touch with how more and more Americans think. Listen:

Howard Shanker is a Blue America-endorsed candidate and you can donate to his campaign here.

Thanks for saying it, Howie.

Check out the recent news on this homophobic, DCCC-backed candidate's $330K 2nd quarter of fundraising:

We have to spread the word about her homophobic comments so that unsuspecting democrats aren't lining her pockets with even more cash.

Go Howard! Finally someone who has an answer for every question and the answers are intelligent, thought out, and right on the money. If Ann wins I might vote Republican its almost the same thing.
