Alan Grayson TV Ad Looks Like A Game Changer

>

Alan Grayson is the Blue America-endorsed candidate running against garden variety rubber stamp Republican Ric Keller in an Orlando district that has been turning blue. Early balloting started this week for Florida's primary election and Alan has been the only candidate with a TV ad up-- and what a TV ad! If every Democratic candidate had an ad this powerful to run, we wouldn't be talking about 12-20 House seats; we'd be talking about 30-50. Of course, not every candidate has a story as compelling as Alan's. Take a look at the ad:

If you'd like to see Alan keep this running, please consider donating to his campaign at the Blue America ActBlue page. As you just saw, he knows how to make effective use of the donations that come in.

Stoller has more-- much more.

It's a nice ad, but if you look at the fec.gov page for that district, you find out that $600K of his $685K war chest came from the candidate -- so I don't know about "making effective use of donations coming in". There are 5 other Democratic candidates in the primary; two of them have over $500K, the majority of which comes from individual donations -- so maybe he's not the guy with the most popular support. More power to him, the ad is great -- but let's see if he's popular with people in his own district.

Unfortunately, the local Orange Co. Dem. Party, is hopelessly clueless, and they are backing Charlie Stuart, a decent guy with as much excitement to offer as Ric Keller has smarts.

But the local Dems are hopelessly inbred and self-serving and they are behind Charlie for no other reason than he has played their little local politics game, so now they'll promote him because he is safely theirs.

While Grayson was actually doing something for his country and fighting war profiteers, Charlie was playing the local political scene. He has sucessfully ingratiated himself to those who control the purse strings of the Orange Co. Dems, and they are so craven that they would rather try to put him up against Keller, even though he has done absolutely nothing of substance to warrant sending him to Congress, especially compared to Grayson.

And the local party poobahs really think it should be up to them, to hell with the rest of us want or who might acutally win, it's their party and they can ruin it if they want to. This goes a long way to explain the primary fiasco.

They've been snatching defeat from the jaws of victory for years now.

Grayson had little tolerence for the local party leaders for precisely those reasons, and wouldn't kiss their asses, so they will not support him and will see Keller re-elected rather than have a Dem they don't control get the seat.

Which, along with their covert racist Dixiecrat tendencies, is why I quit the Orange Co. Democratic Party.

Damn shame, but there you are.

What's truly sad about this is that Keller is an appallingly weak opponent. A strong wind should be able to beat him.

If I didn't know better I'd swear they were trying to lose on purpose.

Grayson's message is a powerful indictment of the Bush administration. I have posted the video to my blog also.

Grayson is a powerful indictment of himself. He's a rich fat cat who wants to run your lives because he doesn't think you're capable of it.

And going after these government contractors? Please. You see a TV ad and all of a sudden you're impressed. If you only investigated a little. Grayson goes after these contractors and they settle out of fear. Grayson cares not for the hundreds of thousands of families these contractor's support. It's legal extortion.

He profits from the war profits. Don't kid yourself. It's how he's trying to buy a seat in Congress. He'll do nothing in Congress except embarras the Democrats further.
