Steve Young is running for Congress in one of the most hopelessly red districts in California. CA-48 is a pretty white, very affluent, very Republican district in the heart of Orange County. When right wing extremist John Campbell ran to replace Christopher Cox last year, Steve managed to take 37% of the vote. Since then, Campbell has made quite a record for himself as one of the furthest right members of Congress. He rubber-stamped Bush on every single Iraq vote (10 roll calls) that has come up since he took office. But just as disturbing was how he voted on matters relating to the well-being of our military personnel. Campbell never tires of bloviating about supporting the troops. Well, he had seven chances to do that since going to Congress. And he voted against the troops all seven times.

Three veterans listened to Campbell talking about why he has voted to cut veterans benefits and helped Steve with a little campaign video I hope you'll take the 30 seconds to watch. (Steve has a diary up today at DKos.)
