D DAY IN ANAHEIM-- AND THAT DOES STAND FOR DIANNE, CALIFORNIA'S BUSH-BACKING SENATOR AND THE GRASSROOTS CENSURE MOVEMENT

So far approximately 30,000 people have signed the petition urging the California Democratic Party to censure Dianne Feinstein for a pattern of behavior backing the Bush Regime's agenda against the American people. If you haven't signed yet, you can do so at the Courage Campaign website. Over 40 progressive, grassroots and Democratic Party organizations have joined the Courage Campaign in urging the Party to censure Feinstein, from MoveOn and Progressive Democrats of America to local Democratic clubs all over the state.

This weekend the state party is meeting in Anaheim and already several of their own caucuses have voted against Feinstein including the Women's Caucus of the California Democratic Party, the Irish-American Caucus of the California Democratic Party, and the Executive Board of the California Democratic Party Progressive Caucus.

Feinstein isn't representing us in the Senate. She needs to know that we are aware of what she's up to and that we're not happy about it. The only way to actually get rid of her worthless carcass before the next election (2012) is if she is convicted of a felony. Unfortunately, the political class writes the rules that govern prosecution for criminality and she has neatly skirted all the scandals swirling around her use of her offices for financial gain. Perhaps, though, if sloppier crooks than DiFi-- like Ted Stevens, say-- are prosecuted, someday Feinstein too will be called before the bar of justice to account for the tens of millions of dollars she was funneled into her husband's businesses. Until then, censure is all we have in a solid Democratic state to hold our own despicable Lieberwoman in check.

He claims she listens and that she doesn't deserve a censure. "We're feeding right into the Republicans' hands," he busters-- and calls bloggers ageist and sexist for the pictures of her (see above; look at that wicked witch shot of her I included. I apologize).



Watch the video. Torres claims if progressives pursue censure, then they are no better than Republicans. But when his goons resort to physical violence against peaceful progressives advocating censure, that really is being no better than Republicans, fascist Republicans at that.
