Re the video: It's all part of republican self-perpetuation: Reduce funding for education, cut taxes on campaign contributors instead, use their contributions to fool a dumbed-down electorate and stay in office. Repeat and repeat again until the country is destroyed, then retire in Monaco.
As an educator I can tell you that we are trying, but we do not seem to compete with coolness and consumerism which everyone knows is our main skill in USA. Too bad we will all soon be too broke to shop and too stupid to recover.
