QUOTE OF THE LATE NIGHT: DICK MORRIS MAKES A FUNNY

>

Today political operative-for-hire Dick Morris penned a column for the New York Post bemoaning the lack of suitable conservatives from which batty right wingers can chose their presidential candidate. He says the only right wingers who will vote for Guiliani will have had lobotomies first, McCain, he paints as someone who believes in global warming, wants to flood the country with illegal aliens and would tie the hands of law enforcement by not letting them torture suspects. "The right wing can't tolerate his apostasy even if he is the pro-life candidate that Rudy isn't." Mitt Romney is the ultimate untrustworthy, opportunistic flip-flopper [that's Morris talking, not me] who has betrayed the Right on their 2 favorite issues: abortion and gays. And the only other candidate he says is on the radar is Newt who he dismisses as "a man who has never valued the right-wing social agenda."

But none of this is tonight's quote. We're talking Dick Morris here so... let's get into the personal lives of these sleazebags. "The only one of these guys who hasn't had multiple wives is the Mormon."

Not that we care but Morris says "the Republicans have to nominate somebody and the Christian right has to have a candidate" He throws out the possibilities of Huckabee (who he belittles as having no chance and being known only as an ex-Baptist minister/fatty-who-lost-100-pounds), Brownback ("Senator who?"), Duncan Hunter or ex-Governor James Gilmore, neither of whom is worth even commenting on. And these are the Republicans. One can only imagine what this potty-mouthed curmudgeon would have to say about the potential Democratic nominees!

These nut cases believe they are the only part of the Republican party that matters. Interestingly, the evangelicals are starting to wake up and realise they haven't been following the teachings of Christ and maybe, just maybe, they've been following those false prophets they were warned about.

By '08 I wouldn't be surprised if the Right could no longer count of the evangelical vote. I just hope they don't realise it until it's too late.

Wouldn't it be great if the Republican party nominated some extreme right wing wack-job and nobody voted for him?

DWT,
Did you hear about the other Dick Morris nugget? One of the pitches of HRC in trying to raise money for her Presidential run is that she uses good ol' Dick. Dick has said that he'll leave this country(a la Tim Robbins or was it Alec Baldwin?) if HRC becomes president. On a website set up to raise funds, you can even vote for where Dick Morris should move to.
