MORE "GAY" TROUBLE FOR HOMOPHOBIC RIGHT OF THE CLOSET CASE GOP-- THIS TIME ONE OF THEIR NUT FAKE PREACHERS GETS CAUGHT: TED HAGGARD LIKES THE SAUSAGE

I'm going to guess that there are as many gay people in the Democratic Party as there are in the Republican Party. So why do you keep hearing about all these "gay problems" relating to Republicans? Well, Democrats-- other than reactionary Republicans-in-Democrats'-clothing like Mike Weaver and Harold Ford-- don't define "gay" as an inherent problem. Republicans do-- even outed ones like Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ).

This morning the Rocky Mountain News is reporting that the president of the National Association of Evangelicals and founder of the New Life mega-Church, Ted Haggard, a major Republican operative in Colorado, a close Bush advisor, a star of the GOP brainwashing film Jesus Camp an obsessed homophobic crusader has been regularly paying a male prostitute to have sex with him. (The story is almost identical to the one itching to come out about Denny Hastert, although the male prostitute involved with Hastert is on again/off again in terms of getting in front of a TV camera.)

OK, first watch the video of Mike Jones, the former male hooker talking about his sexual relationship with the hypocritical and very venal pastor.

Like all Republicans do when they're caught wit their hands in the cookie jar (i.e.- Cunningham, DeLay, Abramoff, Ney, Noe, Taft, Burns...) or, as in this case, inside the underpants of a young man (i.e.- Congressman Schrock of Virginia, Congressman Foley of Florida, Congressman Kolbe of Arizona, Mayor Jim West of Spokane...) it always starts out as deny, deny, deny.

"Jones also said during his appearance with [KHOW's Peter] Boyles that he was paid money by Haggard, who made frequent trips to Denver for sexual liaisons, that he has recorded voicemails and a letter from Haggard, and that he had also witnessed Haggard use methamphetamine. Jones offered to take a polygraph examination concerning his claim."

Haggard, a Republican hatchet man masquerading as a pastor, a liar, hypocrite, sex pervert and drug user masquerading as a minister of Jesus Christ and an advisor to Bush masquerading as... and advisor to Bush, has helped to organize, finance and execute a massive campaign to re-elect Marilyn Musgrave in Colorado. Musgrave and Haggard are outspending an actual Jesus-loving progressive (a self-described "born again, spirit-filled, evangelical Christian, one who believes in living it, not legislating it"), Angie Paccione by an ungodly 10 to 1 ratio. Even with the independent-minded, unbossed Paccione ahead of the obsessed-wth-gays Musgrave, DCCC Rahm Emanuel has refused to help finance the grassroots campaign in Colorado's 4th congressional district. Emanuel has other plans for a Democratic caucus more easily told what to do than a real fighter like Angie.

Haggard is also helping to lead-- along with another venal and disreputable fake religionist, James Dobson-- Republican efforts against populist, grassroots Fighting Dems Jay Fawcett and Bill Winter on behalf of unhinged far right allies Doug Lamborn and Tom Tancredo.

FIRST OF MANY UPDATES: HE CUTS, HE RUNS... HASTERT NEXT?

No, I'm not trying to imply that Ted Haggard is Denny Hastert's backdoor man... or even that they share the same male prostitutes. I'm just saying that Haggard got ratted out by the male hooker he's been using for 3 years-- probably a bad tipper, right?-- and he's resigned. So when will Hastert admit that he's been using male prostitutes and resign? It's one of those things like with Foley: "everybody" knows-- except the voters back home. But they don't even know the wife stays in a hotel when she visits DC, do they?

The church's Acting Senior Pastor, Ross Parsley, tells KKTV 11 News that Pastor Haggard has admitted to some of the indiscretions claimed by Mike Jones, but not all of them." Like maybe he's now admitting to the stuff on the tapes that have been released... what a lowlife Republican hypcrite. Has he resigned as an advisor to Bush yet? And was he stoned out of his head when he was giving Bush all that bad advice that has taken our great nation so low at the hands of these incompetents and rogues?
