ATRIOS BUILT A TIME MACHINE

You've seen Ken Pollack on TV, right? Very authoritative and... well he seems kind of an expert in... something. Of course, next to the CNN talking heads, the kid who comes over to backwash my pool filter would seem authoritative. Anyway, after I read about Duncan's totally awesome workable time machine I realized he should be on TV instead of Pollack.

Pollack's impressive-looking credentials belie his total estrangement from the realities of the Middle East. He pushed hard for the Iraq War, and bristled at any challenge to his so-called expertise.
I saw him in a debate with Congressman McDermott here at Seattle University in October 2002. He rose up in righteous indignation at every one of McDermott's predictions for what would happen if we invaded Iraq. When McD posited that in the end there would be no easy "victory", but instead, a guerilla-type counter-insurgency, it really looked like Pollack was going to start bawling like a baby.
Well, funny thing is, McD was right on Every.Single.Prediction. he made, and by 2004 Pollack was covering his butt, and writing his apologia for the Atlantic Monthly. It was too little too late - especially for this so-called Middle East "expert".
