Between Helen and myself, we've covered John Hall's race against Bush rubber stamp-- and former Page Committee Chairwoman-- Sue Kelly, quite a bit. The race very tight but going well for the good guys. Kelly's involvement with the page scandal is hurting her, especially after last night's revelations about her colleague Jim Kolbe's role. You can still contribute to John's campaign, of course, but today I want to propose you think about another way of helping win this important race.

John has a Home Team Program up and running, similar to the one that Ned Lamont and Donna Edwards used. It's a great way for netroots activists, especially in safe districts, to get involved in a swing race (aside from just giving money) and it's a fresh tool for winning campaigns that a lot of people haven't seen yet. AND this week, John's campaign is offering a totally awesome incentive: two tickets to a Bonnie Raitt concert.

It's super-easy for you to join the volunteer effort-- from the convenience of your own home. Let me introduce you to the John Hall "Home Team." Obviously John's group phone bank locations are too inconvenient for most DWT readers. This is for people who'd rather make calls from home, and on their own schedule. And now you can.

When you join the Home Team, you can be talking to voters in a matter of minutes. All you need is a computer and a phone. John's volunteer coordinators will train you thoroughly and give you access to their simple call system. And since their system calls you, you don't pay for long distance charges.
