NEY'S OLD PALS AND UNINDICTED CO-CONSPIRATORS HAVE TOLD HIM TO RESIGN BEFORE THE ELECTIONS OR THEY WILL EXPEL HIM-- LIKE BAD GAS

Today's Columbus Dispatch is reporting that Republicrook Bob Ney, who took millions of dollars in bribes as part of his role in the systemic Culture of Corruption, may resign from the House today as part of a plea bargain to get a lighter prison sentence.

Virtually none of his fellow Republicrooks-- and probably not many congressional Democrats-- want to remove the rich pension benefits convicted congressional criminals like Ney. He'll be in fat city for the rest of his unworthy life. But Republican congressmen do want him out of the way before November 7-- as if voters in Ohio are so stupid as to think Ney's resigning from Congress before he lands in prison has anything at all to do with the outrageous reign of corruption that has plagued Washington under their rule. Like Foley, Ney tried saving face and avoiding responsibility by checking into an alcohol rehabilitation center. These people need to check into GOP rehabilitation centers.

One of the most repulsive hypocrites in the entire Congress, Deborah Pryce, an unscrupulous and unspeakably corrupt #4 in the GOP hierarchy-- currently being out-polled by progressive Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy-- is demanding Ney resign. A little late, no Deb? "If Bob Ney fails to resign, I will strongly support a resolution to expel him from the House of Representatives." What a fighter!

AFTERTHOUGHT: NEY PLEADS GUILTY, DOESN'T RESIGN

Looks like Ney will only get 2 years in jail-- if that. He didn't resign. "Ney pleaded guilty to conspiracy and making false statements. He acknowledged taking money, gifts and favors in return for official actions on behalf of Abramoff and his clients." He could have gotten 10 years but there's some kind of deal worked out where he only gets 2.
