America historically lays claim to leading the world through example, by taking the moral high road. What a sad day when we openly legislate the moral high ground away by giving Bush the power to torture and imprison at will, citizens and non-citizens alike. It will be very difficult to craft the world into a better place. Nations who have been persuaded to follow our lead regarding Human Rights continue to do so. Only these days our example is not the moral one to follow.
