WHO SAYS PROGRESSIVES AREN'T FUNNY?

The Far Right's never-ending quest to define progressives in an unflattering way has them all repeating over and over how lefties have no sense of humor. I always know when these things take hold from my friend Phil in Bensalem. He's not exactly retarded-- I mean he sort of goes to college-- but... well I think he's on a lacrosse scholarship. Anyway, I know just when the Right's message takes hold 'cause ole Phil is kind of slow on the uptake and when he starts repeating it, you just know that Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, the Watergate felons-with-talk-shows, Ann Coulter, Ollie North, Neil Boortz, Michael Savage... have repeated it the requisite 10 billion times so that it seeps even into the slowest of neanderthal brains. And sure enough, Bensalem's little Einstein stopped saying "liberals have no ideas" long enough last week to bark out that "liberals have no sense of humor." (My friend Ken reminded me that John Stewart's show this week pointed out that "Truth has lost all credibility in the last few years.")

Anyway, I want to dedicate today's blog entry to Phil and other ditto-heads and give them (and everyone) something to laugh their asses off over. If you still have the stomach to laugh about Bush, try this one:
