ANOTHER REPUBLICROOK "WANTS TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIS FAMILY"

>

Yeah, the folks who are obliterating the American middle class with their class warfare policies that serve the interests of multimillionaires at the expense of everyone else, claim to be concerned about "family values." In fact, whenever they get caught stealing or doing something directly contrary to the civic obligations of office (at least among non-Republicrooks), they always say they want to spend more time with their families. And then they resign in disgrace and Bush gives a speech thanking them for their service (in return for them swearing on a stack of bibles that they'll never tell anyone the inside dope of what his illegitimate, criminal regime is doing behind closed doors). Latest out the door is a greasy sleazebag oil company lobbyist Bush appointed chief of staff of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Now, be honest, even if you're a right-winger and you hate me-- HAVE YOU EVER EVER EVER HEARD OF A MORE BLATANT CASE OF HIRING A FOX TO WATCH THE CHICKEN COOP? Anyway this Philip Cooney fella was caught blatantly changing government reports to say what his masters at Big Oil (and the GOP) want said about the deteriorating environment.

One of the White House team of professional liars and imitation Goebbels, Dana Perino, whose never been known to say one true thing since she went to work for BushCheney, claimed his departure was, of course, "completely unrelated" to the disclosure that Cooney was caught red-handed and couldn't wiggle out of it (although the White House tried for a few pathetic days last week). Not mentioning whether Cooney would be prosecuted for breaking the law, she said "Mr. Cooney has long been considering his options following four years of service to the administration. He'd accumulated many weeks of leave and decided to resign and take the summer off to spend time with his family."

Based on documents provided to the Government Accountability Project, a nonprofit group that helps whistle-blowers, The New York Times first reported Wednesday that Cooney made arbitrary changes in several federal environmental reports. The changes emphasized uncertainty of evidence that greenhouse-gas emissions are causing global temperatures to rise, even when there was no uncertainty. Cooney, a low-life shyster and crooked attorney who should be disbarred-- and, of course, without a background in science-- once headed the oil industry's lobbying on climate change.
Predictably, the White House defended the unwarranted edits to the documents, saying they were part of the normal, wide-ranging review process and "did not violate an administration pledge to rely on sound science" (since such a pledge doesn't exist?).
