What saddens me is that no one is doing anything about it. Most people are either resigned to their fate or no longer care to think about the damage being done to the nation because they can handle no more sadness.
Communications are being throttled or censored, such as mine with my son because Google has determined that I am sending hostile and subversive propaganda (often just links to posts like this one) and refuse to deliver messages between us. Will phone calls and texts be next? Written letters examined by the USPS? The public encouraged to inform on each other if something anti-corporate gets spoken?
Some of you are old enough to remember an apocryphal tale of a Russian child who had a statue put up honoring him for informing on his parents and their anti-government discussions. I never thought that I'd see the possibility of such a thing happening in Mom's Flag-waving Apple Pie America. Yet here it is.
The Republicans are killing this nation, and the Democrats are eager to assist. More citizens whine that they can't go out and play in the pandemic than even know that what few rights they still have are being taken away rapidly by the cooperative effort of both "parties".
it's like watching your own kids play with loaded uzis. after all, we gave birth to these people.
