One Of The Biggest Grassroots Coalitions In The Country Just Endorsed Bernie-- But That Isn't A Story For Corporate Media

>

In the face of the terrible news yesterday-- Pelosi's weak, suspect and pathetic impeachment strategy and her backing for the NAFTA 2.0 sellout-- there was at least something that went right. Just days after Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action-- not anything like a Mayo Pete or Status Quo Joe kind of group-- announced their game-changing endorsement of Bernie, it turns out... well that was a sweet harbinger of something even bigger coming. And yesterday it came, although if you get your news from CNN, Comcast TV or other forms of corporate media, you saw no mention of it. You would be far more likely to hear about some billionaire-- or some politician whose career is financed by billionaires-- making a meaningless endorsement of Biden or Mayo.

The Center for Popular Democracy (CPD) is a coalition of grassroots groups with 41 national affiliates doing community based organizing and building deep connections to working class people around the country-- mostly people of color-- with loyal memberships and strong field programs. At their core is a belief in and action to achieve:
Transformative policy platforms that address the root causes of racial and economic inequality
Year-round organizing and engagement in Black and brown communities
Building the infrastructure for progressive wins to last for years to come

After a long drawn out and very thorough endorsement process, CPD Action just announced that Bernie's the one. This is a big signifier of the kind of grassroots campaign Bernie has been busy building while Biden and Mayo spend their time feting the very wealthy and making them promises about how nothing fundamental will change.

Corporations are terrified of a president Bernie. They'll all do anything they can and pay any price to see that it does not happen.

media are corporations.
