Comrade Nunes Forced Out Of Putin-Gate Investigation

Nunes didn't exactly recuse himself from leading the Putin-Gate investigation, at least not voluntarily. The House Ethics Committee is investigating his bizarre behavior in connection with the probe and he was forced to step down "temporarily." The Ethics Committee wants to know why he mishandled classified material for partisan purposes. A committee of 3 monkeys will take over the investigation: Michael Conaway (R-TX), Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Tom Rooney (R-FL). Nunes is furious, but will no longer be in position to protect Trump from being exposed as a traitor to the country.

Back in CA-22, Nunes constituents have had enough and there has never been a better opportunity for a Democrat to run successfully against him.

Comrade Nunes: "Despite the baselessness of the charges, I believe it is in the best interests of the House Intelligence Committee and the Congress for me to have Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter. I will continue to fulfill all my other responsibilities as Committee Chairman, and I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims."

In a statement, Ayn Rand Speaker Ryan told the press that Nunes "continues to have [my] trust, and I know he is eager to demonstrate to the Ethics Committee that he has followed all proper guidelines and laws. In the meantime, it is clear that this [ethics] process would be a distraction for the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian interference in our election."

Samantha Bee has my trust. Did you watch it?

Despite clearly being on HER! side, Samantha Bee and her production staff could run the Democratic Party more successfully than the corporatist hacks which ensure that reality never invades the inner sanctum of the DNC.

To expect anyone better than Nunes to replace him would be just more magical thinking.
It's as if he did his inexplicable idiocy purposely to make room for a REAL quack as chair.

Wasn't Gowdy mentioned for that role? (see below, third from bottom)

Assuming the chair of the investigation must come from the (majority) members of the Intel Committee, here's the possibilities: at tinyurl.com/k2lg938
