After Her Sister-In-Law Was Arrested For Burglary, Sarah Palin Gets More Bad News

>

I'm sure Sarah Palin would rather be shooting wolves from a helicopter or playing one-upmanship and gotcha with poor 18 year old Levi Johnston but sometimes the duties of state call. Her nominees have been faring really badly. That's because they're exceptionally bad nominees. A trick by the commie, Democratic-controlled legislature? Well, the upper house has 9 Democrats, 6 Republicans and an open seat but the lower house is 55% Republican.

She nominated a far right fake Democrat, Tim Grussendorf, to replace the seat left vacant by Kim Elton and the Senate rejected him when it became clear he planned to switch parties as soon as he became a senator. Then she picked Joe Nelson, another Democrat ready to switch to the GOP. So the Senate said they would reject him too. But yesterday he withdrew his name from consideration before they could.

All that was small potatoes, though, compared to both Houses of the legislature unceremoniously rejecting her nomination of controversial far right bigot Anthony Ross as attorney general yesterday.
[T]oday's rejection of Ross is the first time in state history that a head of a state agency has failed to be confirmed by the Legislature. All the Democrats in the Legislature voted against Ross, but they were joined by nine Republicans, including the Senate president and House speaker [both Republicans!]

Ross is a gun nut who is distrusted by Native Americans, has denigrated women and called gay people "degenerates." And this is the best she could come up with for attorney general? I guess she could have done worse-- like her sister-in-law, Diana Palin, who was busted for burglarizing a neighbor's home-- twice (in two days). She brought her 4 year old daughter along to watch mommy at work. Although caught red-handed in the house and arrested, she pled not guilty to all 4 charges; it must run in the family. (And speaking of "the family," she's been in jail since April 2 because Sarah and Todd refuse to put up the $10,000 to bail her out.)

Palin hustled off to Indiana to speak at an anti-Choice rally and Ross seemed to take the rejection... well, without much concern about anything-- except his picture. "I had a neat office for two and a half weeks and I was attorney general under the law for two and a half weeks for the state of Alaska. And the big question I have now is whether they will put my picture up with the other (former attorney generals) for only two and a half weeks' service," Ross said.

ProgressiveAlaska made the case Wednesday for why Ross had to be rejected. A poll this week by Public Strategies, which showed Barack Obama the most trusted figure in American politics, also showed Sarah Palin to be the least trusted. Palin won the booby prize among American politicians as the least likely figure to identify the right solutions to the problems the country faces. Only 32% thought she has what it takes and even Mitt Romney, her probable main rival for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, beat her (with 38%). Apparently John McCain isn't among that 32% either. But at least last night she was with her own people-- in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, where she shared the stage with the only Republican political leader in worse shape than herself: Michael Steele.

Meanwhile, Palin held up a Palin For President bumpersticker at the Indiana anti-choice dinner last night-- but not for herself, for another cast member of Alaska's Jerry Springer-like reality show: Piper Palin, 2044. A more suitable Palin to lead the GOP would be Trig, of course. Although Michael Steele does a fine job of it too:

No offense to Trig, whatsoever, but the Republican Party certainly seems to have something akin to a political version of a very, very severe and debilitating handicap.

I want Palin to run in 2012. In fact, I want her and cheney and mcain and jindal and o'reilly and cavuto and all those clowns to run as a pack. That ought to guarantee their repeat whupping, y' betcha!

I'm sorry that you're feeling the pressure of Obama and the marxist party's poll numbers dropping like a stone, but posting photoshop'd pictures of the beautiful Governeror won't help your anti-american movement. Your president is single handedly revitalising the GOP without any help from the media aside from the few true Americans that your psuedo-intellectual leaders like to berate.

Americans are waking up to the fact that the Bush Adminisration actually had the best interest of this country in mind, while the Obama administration apologizes, weakens our global positions, and condemns our children to massive debt.

The Obama experiment is thankfully ending before it began.

Which percentage of Americans and what country do you think Bush was working for? Obama certainly didn't have anything to do with getting us into this mess in the first place. But Bush was busy making sure all his big business and rich buddies were getting their "cut" and more for the last eight years.

You must still have a job to talk such garbage!
