Lucas got it exactly right over at the Battle School. Scott McClellan's bean spilling today goes right to the heart of Bush Regime competence... uh, incompetence. McClellan's new book is making waves today-- and probably something worse than waves over among the den of vipers still holding the White House.

He is quite clear that Libby and Rove lied about outing Valerie Plame and he puts the blame exactly where it belongs-- even beyond where cowardly Democrats like Nancy Pelosi put it: Bush and Cheney.
In an excerpt from his forthcoming book, McClellan recounts the 2003 news conference in which he told reporters that aides Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby were "not involved" in the leak involving operative Valerie Plame.

"There was one problem. It was not true," McClellan writes, according to a brief excerpt released Tuesday. "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff [Andrew Card] and the president himself."

At what point do wonderers start wondering if Ms Pelosi's insistence that impeachment is off the table mean that she is an accomplice to their criminal behavior. I'm there.

McClellan isn't doing interviews today and the hack who replaced the hack who replaced him, Dana Perino, has "no comment." Scotty's book, What Happened comes out in April.

Apparently now is the time, "now" being after a lucrative book contract:

"I am outraged to learn that former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan confirms that he was sent out to lie to the press corps and the American public about two senior White House officials, Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby who deliberately and recklessly revealed my identity as a covert CIA operations officer.

Even more shocking, McClellan confirms that not only Karl Rove and Scooter Libby told him to lie but Vice President Cheney, Presidential Chief of Staff Andrew Card, and President Bush also ordered McClellan to issue his misleading statement. Unfortunately, President Bush's commutation of Scooter Libby's felony sentence has short-circuited justice.

Vice President Cheney in particular knew that Scooter LIbby was involved because he had ordered and directed his actions. McClellan's revelations provide important support for our civil suit against those who violated our national security and maliciously destroyed my career."

Power protects power, my man.

In order to rise to the top of the dung heap, you gotta be a stinker.

Re: Pelosi?

I'm there, too.

There is an effort to remove Pelosi as Speaker, and make way for impeachment. A Congressional candidate supports this effort. Details

Did you see those students at the University of Florida today?

We always knew Scotty was not telling the truth, and despite what he says about not knowing, I can't imagine that he didn't know. After all, he saw the vermin he worked for in action every damn day. More importantly, even before today's revelation, there was more than enough reason to impeach, convict and imprison the entire Bush crew. Will the Dems now act? I doubt it, but, if they don't they are accessories after the fact and they are accomplices and deserving of punishment as well. Right now they expect us to vote for them no matter what. They think we have nowhere else to go. Not so. I will vote for third party candidates and I will vote for PROGRESSIVE Democrats if there are any on my ballot. I will not vote for criminal enablers like Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Clinton and other such Bush-lite ass kissers.
Happy Thanksgiving to all Progressives whether Democrat or Green. The rest, Dem or Repug, can rot in hell.

As usual, CNN only printed part of the Quote - they neglected to include the part where McLellan said that the President didn't know at the time he told him, that the information was incorrect. i.e. The President didn't lie, he was only guilty of being misled himself and passing on that information.

CNN, along with most of the MSM make me sick!

Yes Mr. Anonymous, if that's your real name, Pretend President Bushie was also "misled" about WMDs, veterans not needing the benefits he took away from them, and even legitimately winning TWO elections! The man is completely innocent of all things he was ever accused of. I hear he even really did serve out his time in the National Guard. How dare anyone accuse him of just snorting coke off of hookers' butts instead! Oh yeah, and Bushie farts nothing but perfume and happy little songbirds.
Returning to the Reality-based community, now. Did Your beloved Bushie ever make a public statement of correction when he found out the facts if he didn't know them before hand (unlikely)? Did he ever fire those responsible for the Plame affair, AS HE PROMISED? Even his own father said that was TREASON.
I guess Dubya had his fingers crossed behind his back.
The MSM has given the rightwing in this country everything it ever wanted by never investigating or even questioning Bush, right down to the FACT that they have sided with him on his "Elections". Now, we have a country sliding down to a hell of their enabling and his making. CNN is nothing more than FOX-lite. Why else would they give Glenn Beck $50 million to add him to their stable of rightwing propagandistas?
