Palin Livin': Levi Johnston Wants To Be A Model

>

In a TV interview with the local Anchorage CBS station the 18 year old Johnston said the Palins are lying about him and that his family isn't "white trash." He also said he'd like to work as a model (or an actor). He looks like he'll need to cut out a few of the Big Macs every day. I can't remember, though; which one of the Palins was arrested for burglary last week?

Meghan McCain prides herself on being blunt and outspoken but she says there's one-- and only one-- aspect of her father's presidential campaign she will not comment on; the Sarah Palin aspect. Nor will she endorse the stunningly unqualified Alaska governor for president-- which kind of says something about her father's opportunistic and shockingly irresponsible VP pick. But, then again, he won't endorse Palin either.

Meanwhile at least one crazed right wing propagandist is having a conniption because Katie Coric is winning the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Journalism for the interview she did exposing Sarah Palin as a vapid, ignorant and hollow candidate.

Andrew Sullivan says this whole ugly Palin blot is all about class, although I don't see where there is any at all in this trailer park mess. In fact, one GOP publicist is trying to imply that Levi Johnston was dicking his sister-- ala Deliverance.

UPDATE: Sarah Palin’s Ratings Plummet after CBS Levi Johnston Interview

Ken just sent me this:
A new national study conducted among 303 viewers of the CBS interview with Levi Johnston and his family revealed that most (81%) believe Sarah Palin distorted details of her daughter, Bristol Palin, and Levi Johnston’s relationship to better her own image in the recent political campaign.

Sarah? Palin? She would use someone to further her own ambitions? Well... "respondents rated Sarah Palin significantly lower on scales of likeability, believability and sincerity after watching the interview with Johnston."

Livin' Palin-- Who Can Possibly Be Surprised By This?

>

In the wake of all the Rush Limbaugh brouhaha-- and WOW do Americans ever hate that asshat!-- who even thinks about Sarah Palin anymore? When you want a dose of right-wing stoopid, there are any number of Republicans-- from Mark Sanford to Patty McHenry to Tom Coburn-- you can turn to without having to go all the way to Russia's back porch. During the presidential campaign we may have been a little unkind in suggesting that the quarter million dollar payoff McCain gave Levi Johnston's family to make believe he would marry Palin's daughter and that he was the father of her illegitimate baby wouldn't last much longer than the campaign. I mean it isn't like they were paying him to marry her... just to behave himself for a few months. Time's up-- and the "engagement" is off.

The whole thing reads like an opening act for a Limbaugh-Steele cage match-- or some Ann Coulter-Meghan McCain nude mud wrestling. And it must be confusing for Palin fans "because in an interview just last month with FOX's Gretta Van Susteren, Bristol said the 19-year-old Levi is a hands-on dad and that they planned on marrying after finishing their education." Apparently she was either as delusional as her mom-- or as big a liar.
[I]n a new interview with Star Magazine, Levi's sister Mercede Johnston says Bristol actually broke up with Levi more than a month ago, is not attending school and rarely lets her baby daddy see their young son. Mercede also says Bristol even told him that she hates him and, when she learned she was pregnant, wished the baby wasn't his.

Mercede told Star: "Bristol's just crazy. That's the nicest way I can put it. She and Levi actually broke up a while ago!"

Apparently, Levi is also far from being a hands-on dad. Said Mercede: "Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible for him. She tells him he can't take the baby to our house because she doesn't want him around 'white trash.' She treats him so badly!"

Let's let a broader perspective on which family is more white trashy from Lexus and Escalade Johnston.

UPDATE: PALIN'S PAC WEIGHS IN

Gov. Palin's PAC issued a statement on behalf of Bristol accusing the Johnstons of going to the media with salacious stories for cash. "Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to `cash in' on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth." Very sordid and very trashy and probably destined for a chair throwing scene on a TV talk show in the not too distant future.

Princess Sarah reveals her "biggest mistake," but the clip doesn't work, so we're going to have to figure it out, gang

>

by Ken

So there I was, all set to hear the princess reveal what she thinks her biggest mistake was, and I waited, and waited, and waited, and the damned clip didn't play. (It was "CNN on AOL," or vice versa, and all I can think of was, man, you put those two sets of geniuses together, and what do you expect?)

Now I'm sure I could have rooted around and turned up a working version of the clip, but would that be any fun? No! I decided we can figure this out on our own.

For what it's worth, alongside the nonplaying clip there was a bit of text that said: "Alina Cho says Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she should've called more shots during the campaign." But that couldn't be it.

I think if we put our heads together, we can get it.

Here's what we've got so far:

from Bil

I saw something on a blog where she thought her biggest mistake was letting the McCain camp muzzle her. I will leave that as it is, too easy a shot and say THAT can't be it.

Guess 1.
That rash after her 3rd college?

Guess 2.
After her water broke in Texas with Trig, NOT taking MORE connecting flights back to Alaska?

Guess 3.
That rash after her 4th college?

Not enough cowbell.

from kksf

She didn’t wear enough jewelry.

And I've got a few ideas:

* "That old guy from ABC who interviewed me, what's his name, Charlie something, I shoulda gave him a Bush doctrine in the gut -- you know, Wasilla-style."

* "I shoulda had Cindy tell John to keep his hands to himself. It's not like I never sleep with married guys, but jeez, he's like older than the earth, you betcha."

* "I shoulda decked that Couric bitch with her 'gotcha' trick questions."

* "That boy that knocked my Bristol up, we shoulda had him say his name was Leroy or maybe LeVar. 'Levi' sounds so Jewish."

* "I shoulda made a deal with them that I would be the president and John would be the vice president, and we could tell people that. Don't get me wrong, I like John, he's a sweetheart, but he sure does smell funny."

* "Todd thought I should like wear a crown, what's it called, like a tierra?"

* "A lot of people wanted Todd and I to do some naked photos, but I wouldn't do that. I mean, we're not so young anymore, and besides, I don't want all the girls to see what he's packin' if ya know what I mean. I got enough trouble with him. But I think we coulda done some nice soft-core stuff, very biblical, like Solomon and Beersheba, or Sodom and Gomorrah."*

It's bound to be one of those, dontcha think? Well, if you can do better, let's hear it. 'Tis the season!
