Clinton Hammers Trump’s Lavish Lifestyle. In the Meantime...

>

Is that Trump flying home, or Clinton heading off to give a speech? Hard to tell from this angle (source).

by Gaius Publius

A tale of two links. In the first, Clinton pivots to the general election and plays the populist vs. Donald Trump and his "lavish lifestyle," according to CNN (my emphasis):
Clinton knocks Trump's lavish lifestyle

Hillary Clinton cast Donald Trump as out of touch with the United States while campaigning Monday in Delaware, arguing that the Republican front-runner flies into states, gives speeches and then returns to the lap of luxury without listening to voters' problems. ...

"Don't just fly that big jet in and land it and go give a big speech and insult everybody you can think of and then get on the big jet and go back to your country club house in Florida or your penthouse in New York," Clinton said. "I somehow don't think that puts you in touch with what is going on." ...
Meanwhile, CNN Money reported that:
The standard fee [for Hillary Clinton's speeches] and her demands are outlined in a memo from the Harry Walker Agency in New York.

According to the memo, Clinton requires travel by private jet, and even specifies that she prefers a Gulfstream 450 or larger. Her staff requires first class and business class tickets. And two members of her staff require up to three days on site to prepare, with all local transportation and meals included.

The memo states Clinton should be booked into a presidential suite with up to three separate rooms attached.

Clinton also requires a flat fee of $1,000 to pay for an onsite stenographer to record everything she says. However, Clinton is not required to provide the host with a copy, according to the memo.

Costs associated with her demands are on top of her speaking fee.
About that Gulfstream 450, here's a tour of the interior...

... in case you were wondering how us "in touch" people fly.

And here's what the "or larger" Gulfstream looks like, for those overnight flights to Davos:

I don't think Clinton's "anti-lavish lifestyle" attack will turn out the way it was meant to. I wonder if the voters will notice the discrepancy.

(Blue America has endorsed Bernie Sanders for president. If you'd like to help out, go here. If you'd like to "phone-bank for Bernie," go here. You can volunteer in other ways by going here. And thanks!)

No, actually, the vast majority of voters won't notice nor care that $hillbillary is full of excrement.

The right worship herr drumpf's condition -- want it for themselves and don't see that global capital will never let them attain it.

The left is blind, deaf, dumb and colossally stupid, even if they might hate a little less than the right.

So we have an electorate that is not just stupid, but relentlessly and PRIMITIVELY stupid; and not just hateful (and fearful and greedy), but PRIMITIVELY so.

When an electorate is this bad, the government they (supposedly) elect cannot be any good.
